You will. I joined Alexandra’s support group and it’s been really helpful. Did you know statistically more people have herpes than people who don’t? It’s kinda crazy. We all go on to get married, have kids and a normal life like everyone else. When you boil down to it, herpes is just a skin condition. Alexandra’s group has helped me a ton. :) Hang in there.

First, you and your husband are amazing and so honest and admirable. I wish I had this channel when I got the news. It was 2005 and I was 55 and had gone through a terrible 10 year breakup after a previous divorce. Had finally started dating someone and did have fun but after a year got the shocking diagnosis after a biopsy of a nasty open sore on my thigh. He had a hard time admitting he had herpes.. what's the big deal, everyone has it.. we went our separate ways, and I met the LOML :) who I am still with to this day at 72. Like you, I was honest with him up front, and he proved his worth. Unfortunately, the guy who infected me is still serial dating and probably not admitting anything. Thankfully over the years my outbreaks are infrequent, maybe once per year following a proper diet and supplement routine, keeping stress low and getting the rest I need. Thank you for all you do and helping to try and alleviate the stigma of herpes.

I just became girlfriend to a man with herpes, he found it really hard to tell me but i don't blame him. I accepted him but honestly he's as lost as i am on information about how to treat himself and isn't even sure if he does have it. His doctors neglected him and didn't prioritize telling him of his condition or explaining to him what herpes was or how to not spread it or even telling him its a lifelong thing. But seeing this video really calms me down so much, he was scared and kind of hopeless, but in reality we just need to educate ourselves a bit more and I believe we will be very happy together God willing ❤🥰

I dated someone who gave me herpes. I was furious. Cus I feel like no girl will want nothing to do with me when I tell her. Like how. Why me. I’m a fireman, I took care of my parents. I like helping others. But it was my downfall. I helped too much and left myself for last. Trying to get a new home in this shitty market, so I can start over mentally. I stay fit, take my job seriously, and I’m done messing around with meaningless flings. I need a wife. Someone that gets it. But I’ve closed my heart to any woman. And been working on myself. I have a dog and my boy keeps me company. But a man needs more than a dog. And I’m sick and tired of these times. No one has the honor and loyalty to put in a family anymore. That’s worth more than anything. Broken families aren’t fun. And I promised myself to break the chain of broken families in my family tree. That’s if I ever have one. Evil ass world these days. That’s all I can say. One day at a time I guess …

Hi, sorry to hear. A person who loves you will love you with herpes or not. In life, there are far greater things to worry than herpes - and it goes both ways. The way you have to accept your partner, the way she will have to accept things about you - and it will not be just herpes.
There are plenty people who value traditional values, just need to get out and find them.
Take time to heal from those views on life you have. It takes some swlf-work, but it's worth it

Also, statistically more people have herpes than people who don’t.

I had the worst experience last night when I express someone I care about, about what I have He went crazy like I’ve never seen it before then he stated that I was trying to kill him that it was a disease so he picked up his stuff and he left I don’t think I have ever seen as dirty as how I feel last night I pretty much Role myself up Into a ball and car all night. I am a great woman and he says that to me every time he’s around me and one time I told him about me he run off saying he is going to die.I come across your video just looking to UA-cam any kind of made me feel better about myself because I took a shower I could not stop Scrubbing my skin asking god why me. So it is nice to see a man like your husband have your back Because there’s a stigma so bad that from the moment to open your mouth they are gone

I am so sorry you feel so sad. Honestly, this doesn't define you! Weed out the bad, hold on to the good. Protect your heart. Stay strong. I'm praying for your comfort. You are a beautifully human. No one's perfect. You have this hardship that could honestly be worse. Easy to say right. But it honestly could be worse. You have a long life to still yet to live. A full life with many wonderful accepting people out there. Please keep researching. There are support groups and plenty of resources to meet some in the same situation as yourself or at least have learned about the stigma and knows the truth of it all. Find your tribe, stay strong, keep finding the silver lining, you are worthy, you matter, you are most definitely here for a reason. You have a purpose. Maybe you'll eventually be a voice for someone whom feels too weak to speak up and have a voice just as you feel right now. I'm sending you so much love tonight and every night here out. Believe that. I hope you find peace. I pray you find happiness and unconditional love. You are beautiful. We are all here for a reason. Please trust in this, you are ok, you'll be ok, everything will eventually be ok. This to shall pass. He did you a favor and picked himself out of your garden. Thank him and the universe for his release. That's ugly, you are better than that. You deserve so much more! Don't stand for ugly and cold hearted people in your life. Find your self love and respect, find your voice. Find and work on your strength. You are going to be ok. God bless you❤️ Xoxo I wish I could do more for others that i see hurt bad, I wish I had a way of reaching you. Take care and have faith. Xoxo

Your channel is awesome ultimately I feel so much better knowing I’m gonna be okay and that I won’t die from herpes more than likely if this something like hiv or cancer then yeah I’d be sweating bullets just think how many things happen to people everyday that are so much worse lije cancer lukemia even diabetes and being overweight is worse than herpes and like heart diesease. I’m 28 and this is the first time in my life I’ve ever been diagnosed with any kinda condition. I’m just thankful all my blood levels were normal

Man, I hope one day I find a woman similar to her. I have hsv-2 and rejection has been a sharp double-edged sword. I have thought about killing myself over just the fact that I would never find love as a man with this virus. I guess I'm so focused on the intimacy part. I'm just so afraid of the rejection part that it discourages me from pursuing any woman.

You will find love and acceptance when you find a way to accept this yourself. Trust me. Beating yourself up, emotionally, wears you down and does absolutely no good in the long term. It changes nothing for the positive, in fact, it just trashes your self esteem, your confidence and, ultimately, your outlook on life. There is rejection in every walk of life, from girls, to jobs to friendships…..the list goes on and on. Take some time to focus on all the good things about you. They are still there. Build these qualities up and just let them SHINE. This is how you will, ultimately, attract a girl that will stay. Please. Don’t be your own worst enemy cause you’re breaking my heart. Peace my brother 💕💕💕

Im sitting here waiting for results and extremely nervous. My ex has hsv2 and failed to tell me. He's still never admitted it. And I myself dont believe he's ever been tested nor treated. But the sores I noticed were undeniable. And that was my very last time with him.
Makes me angry because I am now on the brink of a brand new relationship and I really like this person. But I cant bring myself to continue pursuing it if I do end up positive.

I was tested for a lesion back in 2015 because I was concerned about having herpes. The test came back negative. Fast forward to today, after being married for five years I find out being 33 weeks pregnant in the hospital that I actually do have herpes. I was told I have HSV 1 but because I’m asymptomatic I didn’t know then or now. Because of a complication with the pregnancy I had to have a C section so thankfully he doesn’t have the virus.

If you and your doctor feel it's safer to do a c-sec, then go for it. However, many women give birth naturally. Doctor will usually prescribe you an antiviral and if you don't have an outbreak during delivery, the chances of passing it to your child are very low. But, good luck in any way!

    It _is_ an epidemic.
But the problem is that there's a huge difference in how people experience the infection. Some are asymptomatic and will maybe never know. Some have very frequent outbreaks with painful blisters which adds to all the other stuff people experience which take them out of action.
