Omg love the video. Since I have memory I’ve always love Rolls Royce, I’ve watched lots of documentaries, all my screen saver images are Rolls Royce, im just in love with Roll Royce because of what it represents for me, it’s beyond any words. The best car in the world. I’m 20 years old so it’s not that common that someone my age likes it that much. Most of my friends thinks it’s a brand for older people or for show off kinda of person. Definitely not. It’s about the refinement, luxury, comfort, presence, power, bespokeness, elegance, and so much more. The pinnacle of luxury, I couldn’t agree more about there’s nothing like it. I was fortunate enough to travel to London, my first priority was to go to a Rolls Royce dealership and see a Phantom or any Rolls in person. Fell in love with it, it was everything I expected and beyond. I wanted to go to the factory in Goodwood England but I couldn’t, I didn’t mind much because I already fulfilled my dream of sitting in one. I just need to drive one now. And yes, it’s my dream and I will own a Rolls Royce sooner than later. Right now I want to buy a Hyundai Equus, for the moment that’ll be my budget Rolls Royce. Then after I can afford it, I will get my beloved Phantom. Thanks so much for the video! You are very fortunate
Good honest vid, nice to see a vid that exposes the good the bad and the ugly. That's a gorgeous car looks like a luxurious tank. Just realize even if you buy one for a $100k you're still maintaining a $300k-$400k car. This reminds me of your Prevost RV vid, these ultra high end vehicles require ultra high end bank accounts, unless you're in the business/possess the knowledge and often proprietary tools to maintain them.
As a 23 year rolls and Bentley owner and someone that owned more than 2 dozens of them in those 23 years and many models, I can give any new owner a good advice. NEVER use anything aftermarket on these cars. In the end the whole issue will cost you double. Buy a used genuine but not a new aftermarket and if you know you’re going to keep the car for a while, stuck up on parts. Every time you see something that has a good price, buy it because prices on the parts keep going up.

Cheers and enjoy your phantom it's a wonderful car.

You are exactly right bob these cars are specialist built and built to last in my view no other car can come close and you can't and shouldn't run one on a shoestring budget This is how so many could end up in disrepair because you couldn't afford or put cheap parts on it there is a vast difference in after market and the original parts this is why the car was designed and built in the first place for the people with special means never on the cheap and they need to understand that and to be fare generally do You only have to go to the rolls Royce and Bentley owners club meet at Burghley house in the UK it's the largest gathering of the marque in the world worth a trip in June as I am going I find your content Very informative and honest keep up the good work stay safe
You said it! That control arm issue was more than likely as a result of the low profile aftermarket wheels. Trust me, I used to see it numerous times when I used to work in the auto care field. Where a customer puts big ole 22 - 26' aftermarket wheels and low profile tires on their ride and a year later they need to replace parts on their suspension such as the control arm.
The only facility that can maintain a Rolls Royce is the factory authorized dealer. The Rolls of the 70s and 80s had Cadillac Fleetwood transmissions and stereos and a host of other mechanical parts. These Phantoms are like small airplanes to maintain.
If your a king or a Saudi prince you don’t worry about the specs, prices or parts availability, you drive it for the image. For everyone else frugality is a big factor.
Composite fenders, I didn't realize that. My '89 FWD Cadillac Fleetwood also has composite fenders. I had a Vogue tire tread seperate and destroyed the fender last year. It took me a while to find a new fender. This year it goes on and a total re-paint. Car Wizard had a Maserati not long ago that needed new converters. Something like $4K each I think. Cost to clean up a GM Duramax LML diesel Bosch CP4 pump failure... $10K to to $20K.
Ahhhh this Phantom video is MUCH closer to the real Rolls ownership experience ive always read and heard about. Ask him how much the specially dampened Rolls motor mounts cost $$$$$$$$
