I agree that Big E could have been there. I mean he was doing the panels at PLEs and never bothered to show up to support New Day when they were in turmoil within themselves. (KayFabe, I love Big E. His health comes first)
Tony isn't soft because he's friends with or nice to the wrestlers, he's soft because he has no authority whatsoever, i mean ffs he needed Danielson to tell him to fire Punk after Punk screamed at him that he was quitting. And what people call him being tough is adding time on contracts and keeping wrestlers who don't want to be there at home, you know, the exact shit Vince did that got him shit on for years (rightfully so). That Tony can't win shit is so dumb lol.
Saw it coming a mile off a few years ago with the first big batch of releases from WWE, they saturated the market and Tony ate the bait. Now he’s got a bloated roster and everything is a mess. That’s his second biggest mistake after allowing Cody to leave
Because they respect Vince. They don't respect Tony, because at the end of the day, I bet you most former WWE guys see Tony as the biggest money mark in history.
In relation to the take at 10:46, I do kinda get it. When NXT had the fencing around the ring (Not the glass), I think that made it look cool...Like the fights could get so crazy that they had to put up a fence
About Fiend, I meant that when we (atleast me) think about the Fiend character, we think about the Firefly Funhouse match and how good and groundbreaking it was. Without crowd Bray could have gone wild with his creative mind and add some spooky stuff and edits to the matches. With live crowd we would probably mych faster got bored of Fiend matches as no-selling, unstoppable monster (until it is stopped by one RKO or Jackhammer lol). I mean no disrespect to Bray as a person, just Fiend as character.
The Jim Ross Paul E one is an ice cold take to me because every time they’re brought up you hardly hear anything less than them being the GREATEST announce team duo ever
The CWC had a really interesting vibe to me, and I think I liked that even more than the Thunderdome because it also marked the return of a select number of actual people in the crowd as well by that point. As for the Thunderdome itself, well...I liked when they cut the audience monitors out for the sake of graphics (like The Fiend taking over), stuff like that. To your point as well, segments like contract signings did benefit a little from a different atmosphere...except when they turned on the ol' hairdryer crowd noise, but to be fair they've had a habit of doing that when they *have* crowds lol Whether or not I hate people is an entirely separate subject, Steve. 😂
The nice thing about what was going on with Big E was they were right but went around it the wrong way. Honestly, the number of things they took from what fans of them say and corrupted in the midst of that was fascinating.
The first few minutes of this video is exactly what I hate about wrestling I love it I've been watching it for the last 40 years....This is crazy that after they leave the ring they disappear and nobody hears from them ever again until the next taping... Also plays into the reason we rarely get to see segments outside of the arena it's like make it more of a included thing ..
Hear me out: Enzo comes to AEW for one night, interrupts a Learning Tree segment to try and talk Bill into tagging with him again and Big Bill chokeslams him out of his shoes.
@skywardbound67 AEW has a storytelling problem. Paying off a years old story from outside the company for 12 seconds in a way that doesn't do anything for anyone would probably be par for the course at this point. They'd probably mess that up too.
@ You’re absolutely right in every point you make just about. However: if done right which really shouldn’t be a hard thing to do at all, just have Enzo show up, do a small promo, have him go into the ring, goes for a hug, gets a chokeslam, then they go back to business like nothing happened. I personally think that’d be really funny. Do I think it should happen? No. If it would happen, that’s how I’d like for it to. It’s all jokes
I understand where Kofi and Woods are coming from... But brothers shouldnt abandon brothers. They were the ones who went on a losing streak, not Big E.
I think one thing that can help AEW creative is that they need writers. Everyone complained that WWE didn't need writers, but it turns out they didn't need Vince scrapping ideas or indulging his weird quirks. The same thing is happening to Tony(to a far less degree), If he doesn't like or understand something he scraps it. Cody mentioned that Tony doesn't like "invisible camera" or cinematic stuff, and that's why he hated the Joey Janella Sonny Kiss vignettes. If you have good writers and wrestlers working together you get a far better product.
Think it's wild how people wanted something other than WWE and it's content. They then get something other than WWE and it's content and now it sucks cuz of it's "ratings". Maybe a wrestling show should be about the wrestling...
@@BlahBlah-v1y it sucks because as time goes on AEW's booking is going more and more the way of Vince in the PG era. Wrestlers randomly disappearing for no reason, big angles getting dropped without an ending, even the backstage shit is screaming 2010s WWE with adding time on contracts for no reason and just sitting wrestlers at home instead of releasing them when they want to go.

As a traditionalist, I would normally say no one should beat Ric Flair's record. Though given the fact Flair is kind of a POS, the more people to beat that record the better.
His real record is 21. He had 5 untelevised NWA World Title wins that WWE doesn’t recognize, but literally every wrestling historian does. No one’s breaking that. Not that it matters, he’s still better all-time than anyone who could possibly win #17.
#hottake WWE is positioning itself with a lot of anti-hero and heel tag teams as we move into the Netflix era in a bid to bring more heat/attention to the WWE Tag Team division!
Maybe im overzealous but I think Randy should break Flair’s record. He’s at 14? Idk John is historic in his own right but Randy is from a wrestling family. Did the evolution thing, youngest world champ in history. Extensive history with Flair. Not to punish John but he chose Hollywood. Randy has always been loyal to the grappling game. Randy’s health is not deteriorating yet but his time is limited and he needs like 3 more runs to do it. Turn him heel again and let him run and make babyface lives miserable again.
I absolutely agree with hiring Enzo Amore,Enzo & Cass were such an underrated tag team & what happened to Enzo behind the scenes was complete BS! Oh yea...+ Enzo's HUGE!!
I want to say the biggest reason why there was no Otis v Gable is in universe Gable should have won. If they extended Gable keeps winning over Otis. I feel they are going to build Otis into being his own leader and will pay off into the Alpha Academy vs American Made.

Him going to wwe will get found out pretty quickly and thats probably why miro didn't go anywhere in the wwe as rusev

Every time it comes out publicly that a wrestler is looking to go to WWE, not to leave but to go specifically to WWE when they leave, has been a problem that consistently shows us that TK will blacklist whoever it is that he finds out is doing that. Sorry for the complicated sentence but that seems to be the problem. You want to go to WWE, you get blacklisted and treated like garbage and tell your contract runs out or Tony finds out a way to get rid of you.
