Your videos are always such a pleasant surprise. I wasn’t even thinking about doing anything in January and now I have a lot of awesome information and tasks to complete, so thank you!!

Hola Angela, you are fantastic!!! I found you today and I´m so thankful about it. First because the year starts so poitive with you and new ideas. I´m German living on the Canary Islands with a very loved Ecological garden since about 15 years. But still there are new things to learn and adapt. Thanks for sharing all your knowledge.
I so love your videos because I live in your area. I also received your perpetual calendar as a (requested) Christmas gift and I LOVE IT! I cannot believe the quality of the calendar! It will never, ever deteriorate because of the poly "paper" on which it is printed. It is the perfect companion to your videos. Thank you for the work you do!
Such great info Angela, thank you! I especially liked knowing what to do this time of year along with what to grow, it helps so much, knowing what to prep now for the coming months 😁

Yes, many vegetables can be grown in containers. Choose the largest sized containers when possible and fill them all the way up with soil (no fillers). Plants in containers will need more frequent watering/feeding than in bed plants. I wrote a book all about container gardening for beginners that comes out in May with more detail. Quick question, I have a shed in my yard (not insulated), do you think using seedling starters, grow light and a heat mat in the shed would work or is it too cold? Thank you!
I think it would be too cold. I tried in my garage one year and it didn't work. I'm working on a seed starting video that should be out soon with more details.
It grows well here in the low desert. I have mine in an area that doesn't get afternoon sun. Here's an article with more information about growing it in hot climates: growinginthegarden.com/six-things-to-know-before-you-plant-asparagus/
Hi Lisa! absolutely you can! I lived in Friendswood TX and had asparagus that are more than 9 years old! You want to look in Walmart, they carry good roots, and cheaper than mail order. Just make sure you plant them in a spot that will not get weeds, once you plant them, they have to stay, so choose your area well.
