Especially the ones that cross the NS Sandusky Line, those are the loudest. I still have a headache from hearing them, but it’s still a cool place to railfan
Usually these trains will block off the whole North West Side of town for 15-45 minutes at a time, so slow back and forth and back and forth. I heard they were removing cars or building trains, but still, a whole side of town is cut off from resources like hospitals and stores until The train companies decide were allowed to leave again.
They will be on the connecters, from south to west. Blocking off the crossings to the west side from the north up on silver and that other street further back, then they will block that crossing over by moto-mart. When they stop like this, they are critically cutting off 1/4 of the town from traveling. Sometimes they sit their for at least an hour too. They own the property so the townfolk can't do anything.
I can second this, one time I got bored and hopped on a train over by motomort. 1 7 hour ride later and I was in Avon Indiana at some HUGE hump yard, took me till 5pm just to figure out how to get out that huge yard without getting seen.
To be more specific B651 is a loaded ethanol train out of Bensenville Illinois from the CPKC. However, that one goes to Charlotte North Carolina and not Tampa. It’s possible you were probably thinking about B631 which is almost the same train, but that one goes down to Tampa.
@@CSC2001 No B631 goes to Tampa. Typically trains going to Hookers Point in Tampa will turn south in Deshler. If it continues east after passing Deshler then it's likely heading to North Carolina
Not bad Update on Route 41 BTW: Most of the derailment has been cleaned up and I didn't see any people down by the crossing, but still, you can railfan anywhere else if you ever want to A train didn't pass the crossing, but when I got to downtown, a train was already making its way through the area, so I just watched since I missed the leading locomotives, It had coil cars on it though, So i'm guessing it must have been 179
Hi hello nice video
Great video buddy! And That short manifest was 18M
Thanks. I was beginning to think it was 116
@@CSC2001 you're welcome! And I thought it was too at first then I heard him clear south Marion and say 18M
The double diamnods in Marion are incredibly LOUD. We can hear thise tracks roar all the way through the west side.

I probably was. I thought B651 went to Tampa based on seeing him a few times over on the Toledo Sub heading towards Cincinnati

How do you stand that close to the tracks without Marion Police trying to Search your shit for it? I hate Marion.
