Alma the Younger is my favorite prophet. I’m a former rebel turned believer like him, so I feel an affinity for him, and look forward to having conversations with him after I pass beyond the veil.
@@Terminatorguy34 seriously! Alma chapter 5 & 7 since if the most beautiful sermons ever. Alma 36 the most beatiful chiasmus and conversation story! Alma 2 Alma battles and receives strength from God to overcome worldly armies!
This phenomenon is also true among the indigenous people of the lands known as the United States and Canada, as well as in other places all over the world. I wish you would extend your reporting accordingly. Scripture Central seems have adopted the Meso-American model of Book of Mormon culture and geography -- not that it affects my testimony of the book one way or the other -- but Scripture Central could expand its audience by acknowledging, implicitly at least, that there are other plausible models for Book of Mormon culture and geography. Perhaps, a series of videos could be made addressing these in an objective, open-minded way.
Ummm...I see the point, but I feel the story shared in the BoM is not because NDE's in history have a similar pattern. This is a book that claims to be the best, not just History. . So, do I have another explanation? Yes. I hope this better explains... . There is symbolism in scripture. All through scripture, seas represent chaos and the world, no Gospel. Dry ground, rising above the water is symbolic of overcoming death. THEN, standing on your feet and ascending the mountain is symbolic of life under the influence of the Holy Ghost. Falling is a reversal of ones previous height/climb, losing consciousness is spiritual death. This requires that one seek forgiveness and again obtain the Holy Ghost, resuming the upward progress.
Do you think what you said made any sense at all? I think not . Now why would our GA need to fall down to the ground ? That is for non believers to wake them up to Jesus Christ being real and for them to stop Persecuting the church . Our GA walk and talk with Christ and believe and lead . They don’t need these experiences ?
I don't know why you have to tie yourself in knots to believe this stuff? I think that was the hardest thing for me with the whole LDS narrative is it's not straightforward like the gospel of Christ is.
How come we are not seeing the same accounts of latter day members being overcome by the spirit as were the sons of Mosiah? Not only is this not occuring in the general membership as far as we know, but we do not even see it among the general authorities of the church, apostles, prophets and general authorities. Are we spiritaully weaker than than the sons of Mosiah? Are we not as righteous as they were? Speaking for myself, I am nowhere near where the sons of Mosiah were , so I am not suprised or disappointed, but what about the rest of the church?
This is for people who were rebellious and persecuted the church . Now why would our general authorities have need of this?they are our leaders they are believers. They walk and talk with Jesus Christ . Like Alma the younger father did . They are prophets . They don’t need to be thrown to the ground . That is for unbelievers . Why would any member do this that believes ? What would be the reason?

My favorite too! He did everything! Convert, missionary, chief judge, high priest, commander, father, scholar, etc., etc., etc.
In my book, Alma the Younger is amongst the greatest Prophets to have walked the earth.

Another fantastic video! Thank you!
I have been listening to many NDEs lately and never realized how prevalent they are in the Book of Mormon. It makes me happy.
This is a very interesting outlook. I know alot of people from the Americas who talk of the shamans.
👍

What is the name of this young lady who often comments on these scripture central stories? I never hear her introduce herself.
Thank You ❤
