The Haley in this masterpiece is NOT the same Haley that was on Idol. She has grown and matured so much that it's like a different person. She was 'good' on Idol. This?? Stunning. Your facial expressions told it all. I could SEE how much you loved this! Great reaction!!
30 year old Haley Reinhart, in my opinion, provides a glimpse of Angelina in the future even though it is impossible to imagine 15 years into the future. Since spending a lot of time on UA-cam over the past couple years, Haley has earned the honor of being my 2nd favorite female vocalist. Schnell I agree with you that the most important quality for a vocalist to have how they deliver the song. Haley has that deeper raspy voice we both love so much and her delivery is 2nd best on my personal list. Make it a great weekend Schnell.

Actually, Haley's first song with PMJ was Habits. She next recorded Creep and All About That Bass during a break while on tour in Europe with PMJ. Then she did Seven Nation Army and Oops, I Did it Again on the same day, followed by the rest of her covers. Creep, Seven Nation Army, and Oops, I did it Again have been her three top covers with PMJ. All About that Bass, which is a collaboration is also another very popular one.

No one has done this cover better than Haley to date. I know her dad has done alot to help mold her into what we see now. Can't say enuff about Haley. Thx for your great reaction Schnell !
Both her mother and her dad. Haley grew up in the family band, and her mother was the singer. That means Haley was probably on stage before she was born!
Hello Schell just coming back to your channel after cleaning up my list of subscribes. I think I mentioned both this cover and Seven Nation Army cover by P.J & Haley previously. I remember watching her on American Idol and I cannot believe she didn't win. Randy & J Lo seemed kind of over critical at times in my opinion. Haley has one of the most sensual & smokey voices I have ever heard and I am almost 60 so I've heard a few. Not to mention she is a beautiful young woman and her outfits always go so well with the song. When you listen to her I like to call it aural intercourse because she is just so so good. I recently listened to her doing a cover of I can't help falling in love with you by Elvis. You should give it a listen she has done such a wonderful job with it. Keep the content coming love your channel.
Scott Bradlee, seen at the piano in every PMJ video, is the creative genius behind PMJ. PMJ calls itself a musical collective, not a band. That's because Scott selects all of the musicians and singers on a song-by-song basis. He used Haley for several performances that required a soloist, but also teamed her with Puddles Pity Party (the 7' clown with a beautiful voice) for "Mad World", and with Morgan James and Ariana Savalas for "All About That Bass." Scott's niche is reimagining modern songs in throwback styles from the early to mid 20th century. "Creep", for example was a '90s song, but the image was a '50s lounge singer. PMJ offers performances that are so totally different that each one is a surprise. Other than the PMJ/Haley performances, I really like Scott's rearrangement of The Spice Girls' 1996 hit "Wannabe" in the style of the WW2 era Andrews Sisters.
All hail PMJ! And the genius behind it, Scott Bradlee (the piano player) for the arrangements and assembling the talented voices and musicians. Highly under appreciated.
This is one of the most wonderful, astounding vocal performances I've ever seen/heard on UA-cam. Her performance in Seven Nation Army is fabulous too. I'd also put PMJ with Morgan James' performance of Dream On right up there with this one. I truly don't know if I could pick one over the other.
She does a great job on all of her songs "Free" is good, "Seven Nation Army" is wonderful. Her cover of "Oops, I did it again" is her Jessica Rabbit phase and "Black hole sun" is super. "Love Fool" is excellent. Actually I haven't found any of her offerings to be anything less than great. Another excellent singer who has worked with PMJ is Morgan James. Catch her Post Modern Jukebox cover of "Dream on".
i love watching people's reaction to this video! she is an amazing singer and only got 3rd on american idol. you should really check out more from PMJ, it's fascinating how they arrange different covers in different styles
@@timjester8555 My favorite of "Don't Know How to Love You" is her performance at Chess Records with her father accompanying her on acoustic guitar. Haley never sounded better.
Hi Schnell, What a reaction! You were as mesmerized as I was the first time I watched it. My 2 favorite videos are this and Angelina Jordan's "I Put A Spell On You" at 9 yo. Haley has been my favorite singer since American Idol (she should have won) and now I have Haley and Angelina who I discovered about 6 months ago. You must do more of Haley w/PMJ and some of her originals like "Don't Know How To Love" and "Lay It Down". Both are exceptional. She has had a good career since Idol, has released 4 albums I'm aware of. Haley has said she has an old soul and loves old school jazz and 60's rock. She does perform on stage quite a bit. You must check out her channel Haley's Tusk and learn a little more because she is very special. Thanks for this review.
Hi Schnell! I love Haley's voice, her style! ❤. I suggest you react to another PMJ + Haley, their version of "Seven Nation Army", it's amazing! I also see you liked PMJ + Morgan James in "Dream On". Please check PMJ + Haley + Morgan in "All About That Bass". Great reaction, thanks!
If you don't have chills after listening to this you aren't breathing. This is at least the sixth time I have listened to this song and I still get chills. You, as usual, did a fantastic reaction and I agree with everything you said.
The way you reacted to this video is PRICELESS. I feel that this rendition was even better than the Original. And Haley, she is Jessica Rabbit, reincarnated. Especially with the rasp that she can use, whenever she desires to. And I started looking at the PMJ Post and I easily get lost and time just flies by. If you're interested you might want to check Postmodern Jukebox out. Great Post, Schnell.
Great reaction. Haley was really upset coming in 3rd place on American Idol. You could see it in her face, she thought, like me, that she had won it. But she has been keeping busy. She's performed up north of me, in Portland Oregon, in Seattle, New York, all over. Her performance on Postmodern Jukebox some of her best. She plays mostly small venues, but that seems to be her preferred place. She has a ton of videos on the internet so will keep you occupied if you try to check out more of her stuff. She has done some performances with her dad and with Casey Abrams, her competitor on AI, with her on PMJ as well as other appearances.
Great reaction Schnell!! I miss Haley, still have not figured out why she is not popular todays music world with such a versatile voice, Speaking of voices you LOVE; react to Melody Cristea of Liliac doing a cover of Joan Jett's " I Hate Myself For Loving You" Enjoy!!!
Haley is not popular and always remains very obscure because for some reason she has refused to sign a record deal with a big major record label. Hopefully, one of these days she will take the plunge and I hope she does because she needs to share her amazing talent with the world.
This video is what put Postmodern Jukebox (PMJ) on the map. Haley did a few other covers with them that I'm sure you'd also enjoy. In addition, there is a whole rabbit hole of fantastic vocalists that have performed with PMJ so you'll have all sorts of new artists to check out. Some of my (many) PMJ favorites include Thrift Shop w/Robin Adele Anderson, Stacy's Mom w/Casey Abrams, and MmmBop done as a 50's doo-wap style.
Yep! You really do need to check out other Postmodern Jukebox covers! I don't think it really matters which of their many videos you check out... maybe pick songs you like... I haven't seen any I didn't like yet.
Everyone who sees and hears Haley develops a crush.

Haley not only has a beautiful and powerful voice she also has great presentational chops.
Going to see her in Austin, TX on Feb 26th
Check her out singing “Can’t help falling in love”, also with postmodern jukebox. She takes a slow, often dull song, and makes it amazing !
Schnell now you can go catch her with same band doing Seven Nations and we get to see the joy on your face again LOL enjoyed it very much!!!
Haley is pure perfection.
i love watching people's reaction to this video! she is an amazing singer and only got 3rd on american idol. you should really check out more from PMJ, it's fascinating how they arrange different covers in different styles
Schnell, you are to funny,, yep, Hailey Reinhart is really good.
Great reaction. 😉
Hearing her say 'lockdown' is cracking me up. lol.
Check out some of her originals like, "Don't Know How To Love You" and "Honey There's The Door". Very old soul, retro style.
You got that right ,, just wish she had more coves with high quality sound ,she is a great talent 👌
I hope you've found both versions of "Dont Know How To Love You", the black & white video, and the one with full orchestra, direct to vinyl.
@@timjester8555 My favorite of "Don't Know How to Love You" is her performance at Chess Records with her father accompanying her on acoustic guitar. Haley never sounded better.
Did I mention that hair? So beautiful.
So beautiful. Smoky, sexy, sultry and just sooooo good. It had that old school vibe. She is amazing. Loved your reaction.
Your silence at the end = All of us. ✨✨✨✨✨
Thanks for this review.
ive heard this before....i also heard brian justin crum,....its difficultto chose...i love them both...he was so original....she was so jazz....
She is from a musical family and was a lead in her high school jazz band.
Love you reacting to singers you love! Lovely and so much fun to watch.
I miss Haley, still have not figured out why she is not popular todays music world with such a versatile voice,
Speaking of voices you LOVE; react to Melody Cristea of Liliac doing a cover of Joan Jett's " I Hate Myself For Loving You"
Enjoy!!!
Haley is not popular and always remains very obscure because for some reason she has refused to sign a record deal with a big major record label. Hopefully, one of these days she will take the plunge and I hope she does because she needs to share her amazing talent with the world.
Loved the performance and your reaction completely.
Great reaction!
She should have won that show.
