Fun video. I like the twinkling lights. I think we have the same hair type. As far as I know, oils and especially conditioners will stay in your locs and alter the look and feel of them. My motto is ‘no oils ever’ just use a clarifying shampoo once a week and separate as needed. That is it. I’m looking forward to reaching your length!

Thank you for watching! Yeah I’m still at a learning curve with these locs lol and I’ll figure it out one day. I appreciate your insight and I hope you’re enjoying your journey . 🌸✨

Glad you found something that works for you!
Thanks to this video, I’m now researching about protein for locs.lol. I see those little pieces of hair as well which can be annoying. I read that some oils(which I have no issues using sparingly) are helpful in preventing protein loss such as coconut(best used in hot weather), avocado and possibly olive oil. I have to do some more research on that though.
You and your locs look beautiful as always! Have a great weekend 💜

Good to know about the wheat protein. I have been wanting to do a protein treatment. That definitely sounds like oil build up.

Thank you for the info! I love the bangs, I will likely do that when I get bored of my hair 😂 I’m one month in and so far and I love them, but it’s been some work keeping them “tidy”😅
