sir the concept iof insulator is little wrong from what i have read the energy gap between conduction band and valence band is soo much that electrons arent able to jump to higer state thats why insulators doesnt allow current cause conduction band is always empty hence no free electrons are present
Yes and also Band gap in conductor is zero because both VB and CB overlap But I do not understand but does it mean if both band overlap valence band mai hi free electrons hai eska matlab

Toh sir 5 me se 4 electron ko bond bna kar stable ho jata hai natoh ek electron bacha use free electron kahate hai na yadi kisi bhi tarah hum valance me electron badha de toh yah ho sakta hai
Sagar bhai, Zyaada electron rahne se covalent property chali jaati hai aur usme electrovalent bond banane ka probability badh jaati hai. Ab agar 6 -7 electrons rahe valence shell me to wo electron accept karke negetive ion banega aur covalent bond banane ka koshish karega. Toh isse free electron nahi mil payenge. I hope, it helped.

Yes... Insulators can conduct electricity too but not at normal conditions.. As a fact, There is no such thing as Insulator.. they are just 'bad conductors'..
As same as semi conductor...what will happen to valence electrons of conductor when heat is provided. How does it related with resistance and conductivity?????? As conductivity of conductor decreases as increase in temperature.

sir the concept iof insulator is little wrong from what i have read the energy gap between conduction band and valence band is soo much that electrons arent able to jump to higer state thats why insulators doesnt allow current cause conduction band is always empty hence no free electrons are present
