- This isn't much of a game update, but more of an update on the game development's cycle and where we are at.
we hope you understand the decisions we are taking and hope you continue to support the development of Sonic Onset Adventure.

To me this is a pretty exciting update. Sonic Onset Adventure excels in alot of areas where other fangames don't. It's easy to see you know what made the adventure games appealing. That being said there are some issues I thought that would never be addressed since it was in roblox. One of them was how easily you can go up a wall and how there isn't enough build up of gravity when falling.
This game was already crazy good, but knowing that there's going to be an engine built around it is awesome. It could lead to one of the greatest Sonic fangames ever. It's also really awesome to hear that the current version could become open source on roblox. It will definitely lead to some great games down the road and an overall better selection of Roblox Sonic fangames.

This does suck since I do not own a pc so won't be able to follow the rest of the games development but this change is completely understandable and I will continue to support you guys

Hope the new engine is coming along smoothly! Massive props to whoever is responsible for Sonic’s model and animations by the way, the physics in this framework are a joy but Sonic’s design and the animations really sell it.

I can totally understand what decisions you are taking. It's probably for the greater good. Cuz I love this game so much.
Im glad that you guys are still developing this game while moving out of the roblox engine, and i hope we see new cool updates in the near future

This has so much potential to be one of the best sonic fangames, much like what Sonic Overtime said.
Honestly, it's the best idea to dev SOA off of Roblox, I've been thinking about this too with Brute the Wolf, as Roblox is still not strong enough for stuff like this, I will keep supporting the game and I hope you guys the best.
I'm still gonna miss the fact it won't be on Roblox anymore, but it's the best idea. Can't wait to see what's next in store!
Also thank you Digi and Cucky for helping me a bit with my game (and dealing with my behavior, which I am trying to better myself by seeking therapy and all of that).

Are you keeping the physics system, and having your new graphical engine be focused on maintaining compatibility with existing work, or are you going to rebuild everything from the ground up?
A shame this game's no longer developed on Roblox. It's a game I'd be happy to play on occasion.

Another thing people can do when they abandon/stop working on their projects is make the game itself open source so that anyone can take it and then make it your own version

This is disappointing as someone who enjoys playing this on roblox, but totally understandable. I can't wait to see how far this game goes onward, and without the limitations of roblox i'm sure it'll be great. Wish you guys luck.

They're gonna make it on a different engine. The game's not shut down, it's just not gonna be made on Roblox anymore.

For your last update on the Roblox version of Sonic on set adventure add super sonic
0:33 Some go tell Bunny the creator of soulshatters to do the same,lmao. The scope of some of these roblox games and how good they really can be are limited by the engine itself. While everyone can access Roblox I think the move to A better engine will definatley help the game. Also no problem idm waiting and seeing the engine in a year or 2 what matters to me is a game that will allow people to enjoy sonic to it's fullest, heck now that it will have it's own engine maybe in a few years it will be in S.A.G.E??? (actually let me not think that big)

the roblox version is ok for me but u choosing to move out is totally understandable because it has limitations so i have no problem just keep the sonic controls normal and fun and dont make it too confusing and i will play it

a fangame should always be free. the download would be in the site linked when the demo is available to download

so we are moving development of SOA out of roblox, so the roblox version wont be updated. and the roblox version of soa’s engine will be used to power Pyrite Adventure 3. the new engine that’s being developed for SOA will be available only on PC
