A7x has always been really good at making beautiful/catchy melodic parts in their music so if for the next album they keep the prog like they did with the stage but make it more upbeat, energetic, and melodic then that would be amazing! They would have two prog masterpieces! One somber/dark and the other upbeat/melodic! Night and Day! Yin and Yang!

I had no clue this was a cover, I listened to it on the original release of diamonds in the rough/live in the lbc I knew it didn't sound like a7x but I thought they were going for a new style
Lol I introduced my sister to Maiden as a 10 year old, then avenged about 1 year later (city of evil album 🤘) and it wasn't till she was like 28 that I told her, "oi, that flash of the blade song you like was originally an Iron Maiden song BTW" 😂 kinda blew her mind when she realised how much that always made sense 🤣
Stage was great but sorta over rated and after a while the concept was kinda odd i wish it stayed the same after release and i think he is but they are writing instrumentals
