    I saw eric alot times , he messes up very badly when he plays queen a3 to win c pawn , I remember once he got crushed badly by a gm. It makes him very comfortable and he kinda starts ignoring and also centre closes off so theres no advantage being up a pawn

    I have a question. When you open with Pawn D4 and the other one plays Pawn C5 you take the Pawn than the other one plays Pawn D5 you can take it with your Pawn on C5 and it ends up on D4?

      1. I’m just gonna assume you meant Qc7+ and not Qb7
      2. The king doesn’t have to move back, It can also take either pawn or play Kf5, which don’t run into Qc7+ unlike Kf6 or Kh6

      @@remcoterharmsel3147 6s with increment is a lot, and no need to analyze ,just get that Q as close as possible to the enemy K, I bet he saw that move the moment he played Qh2+ so perhaps invest a second to think there, no more is needed.

      I'm an expert (2000-2200), the level just below master.
      Come on , plenty of comments pointing it out.
      You make it sound like it's the hardest move to find.
      There are two checks and one of them is checkmate.

      @@douglasquaid7550 I get what you're saying but Eric missed a mate in one in a recent video with a lot of time on the clock.
      Ivanchuk missed mate in 1 against Anand after thinking for over 10 seconds.
      Kramnik missed mate in 1 against Fritz (although that was a mate on his own king).
      So it has happened to far better players.
