In this video, I play a topsy-turvy chess game against Candidate Master Ruilopezgotdeported (rated 2375) in Chess.com's Titled Tuesday tournament. Apologies for the lack of move sound effects. I forgot to turn on my desktop volume-- I hope it doesn’t detract too much from the dramatic battle!

Love you Eric. Favorite chess personality
Sometimes I feel like Eric is a young version of Yasser ☺️...he remains so calm and his voice is so soothing!
True af
"I wanna do weird things" 😂
I remember this from Twitch. It was nice to be able to review this game again.
You have a cute profile pic >.
Then @8:25 is a nice tactic Qg3+ (check) then Qb7+ picks up the knight on the next move
I like your chillness, sir
how can u remain so calm, no matter what. Love ur videos. Keep it up!
imagine having a couple secs left, and being still so chill. If it was me, my frickin hands would be sweating.
Hey Eric. Love you bro
Best Chess channel on UA-cam
I remember the guy he was playing from levy and hikarus sub battle
Yup lol. they wouldn't even say his name out loud iirc
8:19 Qg5# mate in one
That was amazing game played by you!
Eric since i watch many of your vids my rating climbs quite significanly from 1500 to 1850+. Really love your guide and lesson.
Just wondering if you by any chance want to make a lesson on how to deal against white pieces when they play bishop opening.
Thankyou very much
Love from indonesia

8:21 black had Qg5 checkmate
Was your tragedy that you forgot your queen was undefended and under direct attack and the miracle that your opponent forgot too?
Cause that happened to me today
Lol watched it life on twitch today, on the other side that is:) well played
Merry Christmas Master Rosen
Rui Lopez gets deported, never forgetti
I saw eric alot times , he messes up very badly when he plays queen a3 to win c pawn , I remember once he got crushed badly by a gm. It makes him very comfortable and he kinda starts ignoring and also centre closes off so theres no advantage being up a pawn
9:14 for a sick beat
8:20 Qg5 here is Mate in 1 right?
my games usually end at the tragedy bit
I have a question. When you open with Pawn D4 and the other one plays Pawn C5 you take the Pawn than the other one plays Pawn D5 you can take it with your Pawn on C5 and it ends up on D4?
Move 4 of the London kinda looks like the face of Big Ben
Didn’t black mate at Qg5 in the endgame?
9:07 instrument
3:08 why not k h7 ?
At 8:04 didn’t Eric miss mate in one if he moved Rc1?
He did only have 1 second on the clock so it’s fair enough he missed it
6:52, after f6, wouldn't Re6 win a pawn for white?
Rook was defending the knight, moving it would make the knight hang
9:55 Your opponent missed mate in 1
@8:20 Your opponent missed Qg5# (Checkmate)
love the content bro 😎
Ah, the Bob Ross of chess is back...
8:11 if the opponent was me I would never play again
8:20 - Qg5# ...?
i somehow won that~! what a game man
Great game!
Yo i love your vids
He can speak with his nose alone
Eric pls make more content. Gotham chess is all over my feed and I dont even sub him
Love u Eric. If it's ever possible come india 😃😃😃😅
This might be very strange but I had a dream about you today. I don't know if you are interested in hearing about it or not.
The lack of chapter timestamps in an Eric video is slightly disconserting, ngl. I'm not mad that they're missing or anything, it just feels weird.
never play f3!
His voice Is asmr 😍😍😍
What is that thumbnail...
Dont use Emojis in the thumbnail!
I get that it might grab attention but You can use your own reactions from the stream or something else
What's with the cancer tumbnail
If you consider the smileys to be used ironically then it's quite a good thumbnail imo

8:20 black missed mate in 1 qg5
9:09 kids at the back of the class
Why does it take me 5 minutes to realize I already watched this played live
you do not have the memory of a grand master.
Many games start the same way
I still find these frantic chess endings so relaxing to watch because you are so calm, GG Eric
He’s just the nicest guy and obviously amazing at chess
Really thought he blew that one, lucky his opponent missed it
You are referring to at 8:20, the opponent missed Qg5#, correct?
@@betzalelsacks7517 Yes, opponent missed checkmate in 1 with Qg5.
@@angelmendez-rivera351
Yes, but with so little time on the clock anything can be missed
Amazing checkmate from Eric in the end
@@angelmendez-rivera351 🤡
@@Wesssss84 Yeah, I agree, I'm not trashing on the opponent. It happens.
I was watching that video of Eric in which he spilled his tea and now I'm watching this haha
what's the name of that video
We need to know
And the Banana's all wet, so sad.
8:34 As soon as I saw the king walk with the knight and the rook there I realize Eric was going for that classic yet amazing checkmate! Well played :D
8:19 is it me or black just Missed mate in one via Qg5?
Oh yeah! You are right! Nice catch
This was brought up at the end of the video, yes
oh you see it too? nice
Then @8:25 is a nice tactic Qg3+ (check) then Qb7+ picks up the knight on the next move
@@rhyschen
1. I’m just gonna assume you meant Qc7+ and not Qb7
2. The king doesn’t have to move back, It can also take either pawn or play Kf5, which don’t run into Qc7+ unlike Kf6 or Kh6
8:21 oponent casually misses Qg5 Mate
I imagine he didn’t see it with 5 seconds on the clock
time pressure
What a game, 69 moves of back and forth
Just got an ad about liver failure. Do you think there are too many comments about the fried liver on this channel?
When you think you're winning against Eric, you're just not.
Classic surgeon chess personality
CM missing checkmate in one 8:19 , Qg5# ,instead he played Qh2+, smh
Yeah lemme just analyse the best mo.... Oh times up.
He had 6 seconds left. Obviously he missed it.
@@remcoterharmsel3147 6s with increment is a lot, and no need to analyze ,just get that Q as close as possible to the enemy K, I bet he saw that move the moment he played Qh2+ so perhaps invest a second to think there, no more is needed.
@@douglasquaid7550 Why are you so overconfident about thinking better than someone who is most likely rated higher than you. I would bet money you would have missed the move if you had been the one playing.
@@angelmendez-rivera351 I've been playing chess for 42 years at club level.
I'm an expert (2000-2200), the level just below master.
Come on , plenty of comments pointing it out.
You make it sound like it's the hardest move to find.
There are two checks and one of them is checkmate.
@@douglasquaid7550 I get what you're saying but Eric missed a mate in one in a recent video with a lot of time on the clock.
Ivanchuk missed mate in 1 against Anand after thinking for over 10 seconds.
Kramnik missed mate in 1 against Fritz (although that was a mate on his own king).
So it has happened to far better players.
At 8:19 after white King move to Kf4, Black missed 1 mate Qg5++.
All these names for openings make me confused. I prefer to stick with "pawn in front of king"
oh, thats just king’s pawn opening
@@parabolaaaaa4919 no. pawn in front of king
hmmmm but that was a pawn in front of queen
The opening is a lot more than the first move.
no, actually its “move i see a lot”
Wait a minute, this isn’t a Donald Trump ad
Love the videos bro. You just make it seem so simple. I have fun watching you play. Wish I could memorize it all.
Hey Eric, just wanted to ask a question. Is the reason that there is different backgrounds in your videos is because you’re streaming from a different room/spot?
The thing I don’t like about the London is not knowing how the move order or breaking into a slightly different variation works.
London is just too solid🤫🔥🥳
I misread your username and profile picture lmfao
The board matches your room which I feel is a nice touch
8:21 man that blunder made black lose the game, it really hurts when you blunder like that cuz of time. good game though
Pog
Nice game Eric, you are the time scramble champion lol
Black actually could have stopped mate by playing Qxc6, but I guess they didn't think of that in the 3 seconds they had. They'd have been down a rook, anyway.
Love your videos ima besting all my friends with your guide now i feel like a pro
Sistema Londres: **Existe**
Eric: De hecho hay una trampa interesante en esta linea
Nice. I love it. Keep going.
Why don't u do collaboration with indian chess streamer like vidit Or Anish giri
I recently made a poorly made fan art where can I show it?
I don’t think Israel ships to st luis

Man he is lucky he won the 1st game. Black missed mate in one more than once. Up on time.
Anyone wants Eric to cut his hair like me?

I really love your videos eric can you please upload more tournament videos?
10:42 Yeah, I was wondering if that was my imagination or there was a mate in 1.
Eric's video titles are my favorite part

I saw this game live! what a roller coaster.
opponent missed mate in one? @8:19 or i'm my crazy?
