Well we didn't get the full "oh no my queen" experience but we got the "disco fork" and also unpinning the knight by castling . Beautiful game Eric . Wish the opponent had taken your queen . 🙂
@3:07 there's a very pretty alternative line instead of Nc3: b4! If Qxb4, then c3! Black cannot take the bishop because of Nxd6, so black instantly loses a piece and has a collapsed position.
Opponent tried his best.. He knew he'll not survive with this weak king.. But still tried very hard to survive.. Well played man.. Great content Eric.. 👍👍👍

His voice is angelic and calming. Its a different kinda hype. Also he taught me not to rush. 8:20 could have gotten the queen. Instead of pawn to d4, knight to a4, forcing the black queen to capture it and then white bishop captures the queen....or am i missing smth?!?
In the line that you are speculating, black's next best move is to capture the bishop (Kxb5) since the knight you just moved is no longer protecting it.

For anyone who asking "why Eric doesn't play Na4?", because Kxb5 (King take the Bishop at b5)

10:30 knight a4 would be good right? Queen has to take.
No Bc then king can take the bishop
“Sometimes fantasy becomes reality”
@2:56 Why wouldn’t the King just take the Knight? What am I missing here?
Eric at 8:23 you should have played knight a 4 you fork his queen he has to take because there's no were for the king to go
A discovery plus a fork is a DORK

Why can't the king take the knight on F7? at 2:00
OOOOHHH NO.
I'm not sure but I think 17.Na4+ force 17. ..., Qxa4 after 18. Bxa4 is winning the Queen and it's a Queen for a Bishop (better than Queen for a rook)
Qxa4 is not forced, there is 1 other legal move, enabled by the movement of the Knight from c3.

because of bishop takes d6 bishop. Then you will win a pawn

Its like one of those bobby fischer games against rene martner covered by agadmator
Also moving the bishop back in the final position is mate as long as the B-knight doesn't attack the white queen
Would’ve loved to see that discovered checkmate to finish it off
I believe the technical term for a disco fork is a 'dork' lol
At 10:30 if you went with the knight line you would have win the queen for the knight because of check and only legal move to eat
12:00 bishop takes knight winning the rook
Discovery plus Fork equals Dork.
10:24 if queenc5 kingc7 knighte6 kingd7 bishop takes knight on c6 and he has a hanging queen

Ive seen this opening before and I don't know where.

Oh no, my force-kin
This is the most Eric Rosen title ever
8:22 instead of taking the pawn, doesn't knight to a4 forces black to give up his queen?
The King could take the Bishop at b5. I initially thought that too. Trippy position
@@CarassiusAu oh yeah you're right i missed that
What if king had taken knight when you did disco-fork?
it's a discovered attack on the hanging bishop so they'd lose a pawn and have a bad position. I don't think there was any good option at that point
Nc a4 was check it didn't hang a bishop, it won a queen
9:07 Wouldn't Knight A4 win the queen? Am I missing something or is the only way to stop mate for black is by sacking
No the bishop is no longer defended so the king can simply take
