    Awesome video, and a fun project for my daughter and I. She is thrilled with it, and learned a bit about drilling, measuring, and sawing. Thanks for our new 'squirrel catcher!!!'

    I made this with straws and cardboard, and honestly I’m very impressed with the result. Thank you, this was very fun

    Subbed! Young people are often like caterpillars, most folks can't tell what colors their wings will be when fully matured. But sometimes you can see what a great adult a person is emerging into. Fun!

    Great Design! I’m a General Contractor and need to get heavy parts and materials off of my upper supply shelves; but have not been able to find a grabber tool strong enough to fulfill my needs… until now!
    I can adapt and customize the jaw a little bit for my needs & sleeve the trigger & make it 2 fingers long for a stronger lift.
    I majored in physics, and always joined the crowds watching the senior M. E. Final projects… Great Fun!

    I had one of the cheap plastic ones and it didn't last long, course I only paid $1 for it at Dollar Tree. I wanted to make a stronger on and this seems like it'll do the trick. Thanks.

    Good build! …but pvc? I’m going for all metal. I’m going to use your idea but with salvaged parts. The claw scissoring mechanism from a hanging baby bouncer( it’s used to grip the top of a doorway), salvaged security cable( it’s almost the same as bike brake cable), and other parts I’ve hoarded. I hope it turns out as nice as yours. 👍👍

    It sturdy and would last for years cerise store brought but at the prices of aluminum and pvc now it’s cheaper to buy a decent throw away pickup for cheaper. I went through these from picking up dead rats and random trapped dead animals

    Dude I've been basically bed ridden for a week now with some absolutely killer back/leg nerve/muscle whatever it is pain. And with the way I drop stuff and how skilled i am to have it land just outside of my natural reach every single time. If I want the fumbled item then I must feel the pain. I would absolutely kill for one of those man, would I be able to buy one from you? Seriously right now as I hang here in the most awkward position on my bed trying to pivot without any issues, I came across your video. Because me just dropping something ends up turning into an all day affair as opposed to being equipped with some dope ass grabbers like that.

      I'd be surprised if you couldn't get these things online, but if you can get someone to go to the hardware store for you, any decent one should stock them; or alternatively, a medical aid suppliers. Probably set you back 5 to 10 bucks. If you move around the house to any degree, it'd be worth your while buying 3 or 4, save you from having to carry one from room to room. A word of warning, don't be tempted by the _real_ 'el cheapo' version, unless they're the only kind the store has, and there isn't another store in 100 miles, HaHa! Seriously though, they might as well be the _definition_ of 'false economy' - grabbers invariably seem to fail after a while, even the good ones, but I'd be genuinely surprised if you got a week out of one of the "cheap'n'nasty' type you get in 'tat' shops!
      EDIT; PS: I guess I just kinda 'scanned' over the first part of your comment and I missed the part where you said you had been stuck in bed for a _week;_ sorry, I'd assumed you were an invalid for a long time - are we still allowed _say_ that? Mind you when you look at the word written down, it does look a bit ugly in relation to human beings... "I am a man, goddam it, not a ticket to a Garth Brooks concert!"
      Anyway, in that context, my comment probably comes across as slight 'necroposting' - well, let's hope so, if you get me! Still, I'll let the comment stand, on the off~chance that even if it no longer has relevance for you, ie, you got better, it might just still be a help for somebody...

    • @MechNinji

      No I didn't. I actually just used regular bolts and bolted them into the aluminum pieces that were sticking out of the poll. :)

    Hi i am new to the channel and i have a question about rc stuff. I was wondering How i could easily convert a tethered rc car into an rf controlled and if i could just connect a transmitter to the homemade controller i made. Cheers.

    • @MechNinji
      @MechNinji  7 років тому +2

      Sadly there really isn't a very easy way to convert a wire car into a RC car Because you would have to build a transmitter and receiver. However you could Take a Transmitter and receiver from another toy car and use it! I actually have a video about doing that! :) ua-cam.com/video/E0JGThsk1dE/v-deo.html
