The designation "North American Driveway Bird" makes sense around here. Also accept "Sidewalk Bird".

We have a nesting Killdeer on our playground, not a good choice. :(

This video is incorrect. Both male and female killdeer take turns incubate the clutch. They also both do distraction displays. If only one is present, they will leave the nest and display if you accidentally get too close.
