Played the hell out of this album when my sister bought it for me Christmas 2003. Lloyd Banks is by far the most lyrical member and to this day still putting out INCREDIBLE work. Had those G-Unit sneakers in 2005 too 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
1:14:04 50's main mentor was Jam Master Jay from Run-DMC. 50 was originally signed to him and that is where he learned song structure and how to write hooks.
Bucks during that era was so consistently dope and slept on compared to the rest tho he still sold a grip right there with banks just seemed like he never got the pub the others did even during this period
Concerning 50's mentorship : He actually mentions a lot LL Cool J as influence, Yayo and Banks mention a lot Rakim and Big Daddy Kane but I think 50 too, Em and Dre are more his business mentors, musically and especially attitude wise, not so much. Dont get me wrong, they are crucial to 50's career but he had his flow and attitude before Em took him. Don't forget also Jam Master Jay, who did mentor him before his death, and Chris Lighty from Violator, who was really important to 50 in the beginning.
50s Mentor was Jam Master Jay (RIP) from Run DMC, 50 himself said it in various interviews, it was JMJ who taught 50 how to structure his songs and add melody to them
A whole song with G-Unit (not just 50) Singing : "Girl Give Me Yo Number" G-Unit mixtape " Hip Hop Is Dead, G-Unit Radio 22" - The orginal song New Edition "Hot2Nite" 😁🤣😂. I had this mixtape. The song is hilarious--🔥
I remember the day I got this album like it was yesterday. My sister bought me this & Jay z Black album at the same time for no reason. I was geeked lol wore them out
One thing you missed is that...every g unit member had a single in it. Thats why 50 a genius, he put single so we all all could get a personal taste of individual character of g unit...i would have loved tony yayo in it though.
The song sampled in "Wanna Get To Know You" is actually "Come Live With Me Angel". I agree with pops. Marvin's song was already a banger and G-Unit really did their thing with the sample.
The Beats are immaculate, your pops listen to the words and you take the whole Project and listen/vibe to it! I was nodding my head throught the whole Video with you haha
Very true has flexed with many, countless Lupe and Kweli bars sprinkled on top. Shoutout to you for giving guy props. He's underrated. 💯 Edit: Nottz also has some heat.
@@th3thiiird3y3 fa sure, my cousin used to go with his sister, so I met him before the fame and before he produced Talib and Mos def first album, just ran into him like 2 years ago, cool dude, and his sister is still cool with mw and my cousins so it's cool having someone make it all the way to Dre from here. Definitely did his thang!
Absolutely a classic album. Shady Aftermath at that time just couldn’t miss. From the Eminem show to the documentary and the Massacre I mean cmon those are all classics in my opinion. Get rich is the best album of them all. Even Cheers was good from Obie Trice. My favorite time in hiphop! Great reaction with pops! 🙏🏼
this album brings back so many memories of car journey's with my father and also vibing with the dance crew in jam's. killer album! great reaction again.
This is where you will realize how talented 50 cent is how he structured the entire songs with his hooks all the rappers had to do was show up and they did that CLASSIC ALBUM
Dat piano is so enticing and just nasty as fuck on “G’d Up” it’s just unfortunate you can only really hear it on headphones or a JBL Speaker cuz I love that part of the beat!😮💨🥶🔥💯(50 is one of my fav rappers of all time and is definitely a GOAT!)
Hey guys always love your content!! What about some Big Pun's Capital Punishment for the next one? Thanks from Spain for all the work you put in this 🔥🔥
Pops might know what he's talking about. WIndow shopper was on the Get Rich Or Die Tryin soundtrack for the movie. There was a bunch of bangers on that album.
But shout out to 50 for saying no to his label for asking for his album the following year...and saying Nope...Im putting on my boys 1st. And Always props to 50 for having Tony Yayo come home to a new place and a million dollars straight from jail. Thats the money the rest made from the sales, touring and shit. 50 split it those 4 ways...and gave Tony an even pie...even though he only did 2 songs on this album. Thats real. Say what you want about 50...but he's definitely a pretty generous guy with his ppl...if they in need or whatever. I havr once to hear 1 of his artist say that he Fd them over financially. Im fact, he overpayed for some artist...that he didnt even see a return from. He loaned not just some of his artist and actors...but other ppl in the industry some money when things were tight. Young Buck this group...when he had that tax problem. Omaria Hardwick...1 of if not Thee Main Stars from Power. And others too. So respect him for that.
Fire reaction 🔥🔥🔥 idk if y'all know but Till I Collapse 50 was sneak dissing Ja Rule during the whole entire track. He didn't said his name like he did on I Smell P cause he promised Eminem and Dr. Dre that he'll leave the beef alone but that later change when Irv and Ja went on a radio station where they exposed the Order of Protection and brag about how he was stab up in the hit factory.
Lol nah but the explanation on Banks “Superman” Tee …. That’s a known crew and section out in Queens New York Called “Shadyville” …. They use to throw parties and all that 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
"wanna get to know you" beat is underrated. The bassline is great
Coincidentally, the song samples "Come live with me Angel" by Marvin Gaye.
Played the hell out of this album when my sister bought it for me Christmas 2003. Lloyd Banks is by far the most lyrical member and to this day still putting out INCREDIBLE work. Had those G-Unit sneakers in 2005 too 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Fact. Lloyd bank recent album is fire.
I had the G Unit copper chain ⛓️ in 2005 in my 8th grade year.. these dudes are legendary!
2003 was one helluva year man... GRODT and BFM damn man...
Dont sleep on Buck, he lyrical too. Maybe not as much as Llyod but he was always more hungry for it.
@fsociety7494 Everything Bank's touches is fire..been a fan since 2006. My favorite rapper
1:14:04 50's main mentor was Jam Master Jay from Run-DMC. 50 was originally signed to him and that is where he learned song structure and how to write hooks.
Young Buck did 2 🔥albums as well. Straight Outta Cashville and Buck The World.
Bucks during that era was so consistently dope and slept on compared to the rest tho he still sold a grip right there with banks just seemed like he never got the pub the others did even during this period
Straight Outta Cashville is one of my favorite albums.
Yesir
Just Cashville is a classic.
Lose my mind is by far the best Young Buck track i ever heard 🔥🔥🔥
The confidence 50 brought in his music was refreshing at the time. Straight charisma through speakers
You gotta do the documentary, it’s fits perfectly now that your dads heard this.
Coming up next
@@BridgingTheGapYT Can't wait for that We Ain't reaction, it would be great if you did Hunger For More by Lloyd Banks too
@@BridgingTheGapYT nah do The Doctors Advocate or do it right after
@@BridgingTheGapYTSalute
i've been asking for that for ages xD
One of the best Gangsta Rap albums of all time! I was 12 when this album came out
the whole G Unit discography is fire
Best out there
Invasion of the Bodysnatchers goes hard
Ok now we are talking. If this hadnt been the follow-up of Get Rich Or Die Tryin, out the same year, this would be considered a classic.
it is a classic lol
Young Bucks verse in Stunt 101 always has me doing the stink face 😅 Great video as always.
Beg for mercy is crazy. This was the golden era of G-Unit🔥
I like how your dad, just sits there, absorbing it all in, as you groove around to the beats an flows.
Great dynamic
One of the greatest intros to a album in my opinion
Man we gotta see your dad hearing The Massacre and both Hunger For More albums sometime soon!
Yes, please!

i was coming to the comments to say this but you said it all better than i coulda
You need to do The Massacre, is such a classic. Salute from 🇧🇷
My favorite 50 Cent album
Young Buck was snappin all over this album. That beat on that intro is legendary.
Hi tek went off on that beat.
Banks was really the star tho
@@johnnyTimothyRokket facts this album and the "No peace talks" mixtape made Banks my favorite rapper
Like I always say, This is Young Buck's album
Buck didn’t miss a verse on this album fire
My mother had this and get rich or die trying when they came out, growing up knew every word both albums 50 couldn’t miss
I can’t count how many times I’ve listened to this. Pops about to lose his mind at the amount of violence in this album. 😂
50s Mentor was Jam Master Jay (RIP) from Run DMC, 50 himself said it in various interviews, it was JMJ who taught 50 how to structure his songs and add melody to them

My Dad bought me those 2 on the same day too. G Unit was dope, but I knew The Black Album was something special when I heard it
Fr I popped in that black album first and that Dec. 4th came on I was like ooooh😮

Damn, why I forgot that this was such a Classic album. Mann
I forgot how many slaps were on this album. 50 Cent mastered the art of hook writing. He damn near wrote all the hooks on this album
The best rapper for hooks of all time in my honest opinion , his hooks are classic and catchy as hell
The Beats are immaculate, your pops listen to the words and you take the whole Project and listen/vibe to it! I was nodding my head throught the whole Video with you haha
I love how both of you are enjoying this album. Amazing reaction as usual, thanks for the content guys
Every now and then I come in and recommend Jay-Zs American Gangster because I know your dad will love the sound. Here I am again 😂😂😂😂😂

My Buddy doesn’t get the respect it does. Probably the best gangsta concept record.
When I see that album cover it reminds me of 50 cent bulletproof video game I used to play back in the day 😂🔥
we was lucky that game wasnt in the album. this is one of the best albums of its era.
“He should probably, you know, just bust one out a little bit longer…”
“Pause.”
Definitely a classic one of my favorite albums of all time and Butch Cassidy is Nate Dogg’s cousin
I love the song just called "g unit." the hook and the beat are both nasty
Edit: I also love footprints
For me young buck had the best flow in G-unit
The intro to this album so 🔥🔥🔥

Growing up 50s favorite rappers were Rakim and Krs1. His first mentor in the industry was jam master jay from run dmc

Love y'all reaction to this, if I could recommend another album it’ll be 50 Cent’s second studio album “The Massacre”
Eye for Eye is easily my favorite on this. That song just goes too hard.
50's mentor was Jam Master Jay from Run-DMC.
Looking forward to The Game Documentary and Dr’s Advocate album which are both classic body of work
Young Buck had the hardest verse on this joint. Also, one of the hardest beats ever produced by Dj HiTek
One of the best rap albums of all time front to back
