Love it! i'll bet it's warm. Got a coonskin hat i picked up Canada side of Niagra Falls many years ago, really well made, nice liner. The most exotic fur i've run into, met a trapper, had a booth at a county fair way back in the '70s, had a wolverine pelt for sale. Gorgeous black/white markings, waaay soft, think 'rabbit' only at least twice as thick. But wolverine? No, no way. For warm/light weight, reindeer is hard to beat. The hairs are hollow, makes for really good insulation. The first commercially made sleeping bag was made from kapok fibers sandwiched between two layers of reindeer. Had a link for a company that specialized in reindeer parkas and sleeping bags but the link's gone dead. Hard to find material, if you know someone who knows somebody who can get in touch with someone who has a buddy that's a Laplander...
I worked for a fur auction place, I had the opportunity to feel all the different types of fur. Chinchilla is unbelievably soft and super expensive. People may not believe this, but beaver fur is probably the softest, most luxurious fur next to Chinchilla. Beaver has two layers of fur, top layer that everyone see' is coarse, the underlying fur is super soft and thin, but very warm. When you look at those old 1900's, roaring era men, with their top hats that was beaver, BUT there was a downside back in those days. In order to remove the coarse top layer of fur they had to use toxic chemicals, mercury being the main one. Mercury is highly toxic and deadly, it also causes insanity due to the mercury leaching into your head while wearing the hat, hence the term "Mad Hatter". The use of those toxic chemicals is not practised anymore, but I would ask the taxidermist/fur maker what chemicals do they use to cure the skins.
That hat rinds me on the red headed punk on the movie a Christmas story, you'll shoot your eye out,yeah that one!,but hell yeah I'd rock one of those on my noggin...
Keep doing your videos. I think you are a fun person. I am from Montana and you remind me a lot of outdoorsy people here. Rural people just have while set of different experiences and values that make them special.

Most people who live in our wokeisphere are anti trapping and are against wearing fur as clothing of any kind. they are completely comfortably clueless when it comes to how most animals in the wild live and struggle to survive. Trapping is a very humane way for an animal to meet its end.
