Hi from Canada🇨🇦. I am also a moose hunter. I have a question. Is it mandatory to equip your rifles with silencers in Norway or is it simply by choice? Congrats on your successful hunt.
Hi André! You are free to go hunting without silencers in Norway. I guess they are popular here since they allow you to shoot without hearing protection or risk damaging your hearing.
There are no regulations, regarding use of supressors in Norway. And i really dont se why there should be any... Pros with supressor: Less recoil (most people shoot better with less recoil). Animals often stay more calm after you shoot. Saves your ears. Less muzzle "lift" that makes it easier to see bullet impact, and gets your back on target faster. Less/no muzzleflash in low light conditions, so you dont get blinded. You can often hear bullet impact. An indication if you hit the animal or something else. Cons: Weight and weapon lenght (not allways negative)
It drives me crazy how heavily regulated a suppressor is the the U.S. when other countries accept that its just a muffler on your rifle basically so you don't blow your ears out. They should encourage the use of a suppressor not make it super difficult and expensive.
Nice video. Looks like there was some movement behind the female you shot last. A calf? Maybe you should have given that one a little more time. Otherwise perfect execution.
Not a calf, but yes there were two 1,5 year old moose. We pushed both towards the shooters.. But unfortionatly I gave away my position when pushing rec on my gopro.. so I made the shot before nr two cleared the hill.. So my film project cost us that last moose..
I agee that rifles without silencers look nice and clean. But silencers are practical as they protect your hearing, and allows you to hunt without hearing protection. They also reduce recoil, but that was never an important benefit for me.
Wow, great hunting video! I'm also a moose hunter from Canada. A few things come to mind: The images are so crisp, what camera are you using? The scenery is just so beautiful, where about are you in Norway (just the general localtion; I know hunters never reveal their secret hunting spot's location!) and is your hunting season? I was surprised, I thought it would be much colder. Is your hunting season in October as well? Also, kudos for showing the after shot. It's important to take care of the meat. Seeing everyone help remove the hide from the carcass brought back some good memories!
Hey, I’m glad you enjoyed my video. And thanks for a great comment! I’m using a GoPro Hero7 Black, with a Gorillapod tripod. We are hunting close to Børgefjell National Park. An awesome piece of Norwegian wilderness. Our hunting season is 25th September to 23rd December. But we’re usually finished hunting after 4 or 5 weeks.
Morsomt at du lot meg være med i en video, ENDELIG!
Awesome stuff! 👌
Det var en perfekt spise okse. Du har et veldig vakkert land. Gratulerer fra Canada.
Thanks mate👍🏻

Takk for det! Ja, det er en krevende øvelse å være både kameramann og jeger.. Men veldig gøy når alt klaffer!

Hello from Italy.Very nice vide my friend.I support you👍+🔔🔔..
Thanks, that’s much appreciated!
Great video, I found interesting you guys were hunting with suppressors. Are they fairly accessible through the proper channels.

@@camelot2k the reply is very much appreciated, a fan from the USA
@@camelot2k oh shit I thought you were the channel owner, the reply is still very much appreciated!:)
@@camelot2k that's not entirely true, whilst the use of them is unregulated, the commercial sale and manufacure has to be declared with the police.

What caliber rifle you using there?
I'm using .30-06

Do you have to have silenters on your guns, i like the look without it and sound of the crack of the gun going off .

Hei. Hvilket kamera bruker du å filme med?
Jeg bruker for det meste GoPro (Hero 7 Black), men det er også innslag av mobilkamera.. iPhone 11.
