Not just the church, the whole world needs more people like young Ben.
ditto
Just take a look around - they are there! The trouble is that the most of these peoples are not so much visible but they are there and they are realizing their innermost believes - I believe that, I hope that! They are our future in a good way
Thank you Ben for such beautiful renditions of hymns of the faith. What an excellent way to praise God!
A very grand rendition of this Hymn, I could see you playing the Tabernacle organ in Salt Lake City.
My sin, oh, the bliss of this glorious thought!
My sin, not in part but the whole
Is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, o my soul!
it's a stunning thought, isn't it?
Ben, thank you for playing that. I hope we meet in heaven some day! That was awesome.
Beautifully played Ben. Such a moving, sad story behind the writing of this hymn by Horatio Spafford and yet he could write 'It is well with my soul'
His story is heartbreaking and triumphant.
I love this hymn. You are a fantastic organist. Thank you!
The same thing happens to me when I sing this at church or when I hear it.
Gorgeous.
Years ago, I softly sang this song at my mother's bedside before she passed away; then again at her funeral some days later. The hymn means much to me.
Thank you for sharing your musicianship.
They played this last Sunday at Mass during Communion. Very difficult for me to sing as tears were running from my eyes unbidden.
Yes, and what moves me the most is "My sin - not in part, but the whole - is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more. Praise the Lord, praise the Lord oh my soul!"
Just a stunning performance of a great song God Bless All 🎹🎵🎶🙏🙏🙏
1 When peace like a river attendeth my way,
when sorrows like sea billows roll;
whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to say,
"It is well, it is well with my soul."
Refrain
It is well with my soul;
it is well, it is well with my soul.
2 Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come,
let this blest assurance control:
that Christ has regarded my helpless estate,
and has shed his own blood for my soul. Refrain
3 My sin oh, the bliss of this glorious thought!
my sin, not in part, but the whole,
is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more;
praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul! Refrain
4 O Lord, haste the day when my faith shall be sight,
the clouds be rolled back as a scroll;
the trump shall resound and the Lord shall descend;
even so, it is well with my soul. Refrain
Thank you for the words here. ❤
❤❤❤
My wish to have this sung at my funeral
It is well with my soul to hear beautiful pipe organ music. ❤❤
I went to a Ghanaian funeral at an Anglican church in London last year - this was the hymn sung as the mourners filed past the coffin to pay their respects - which took about 15 minutes and thus several repetitions for the bemused organist - but the mourners all knew it off by heart - it was quite a moment!
@@Marcel_AudubonBemused as in puzzled. One of the most experienced members of the RCO, he said afterwards he'd not come across the hymn before (neither had I), and more importantly didn't know how long the filing past was going to go on. But I'm sure you have a better word in your vocabulary for a professional organist on edge, so do please substitute.
My music theory teacher, a voluble South African lady, had a penchant for building her latest tale of woe towards a crescendo of "my dear, I nearly had a cadenza!".
I wish I had been in your Church when you played this beautiful hymn.
Whenever my heart and body feels weak becoz of temptation, depression i came here to hear this music and i feel better much calm and restored
My sentiments exactly! X🙏👍❤️
You create emotion in those listening to your music.
Nicely Played. Popular here in N.America.
This hymn is so beautiful--thank you for playing it.
I really appreciate your channel. My Dad was an organist from the age of 13. He graduated from the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, Mass. Your playing brings back many wonderful memories! Thank you!
Thank you Ben. Wonderful hymn.
THANK YOU fro USA!!
How lovely that thanks to Ben, even the most commonplace and insignificant Englisch village organs are saved from oblivion ...
Another cracking video. I haven’t heard this hymn before but I instantly love it!
Find out the story behind it. It will have you in tears.
Agreed, it is a sad story but beautifully showcases that in any adversity, our Lord and Savior is with us.
The fact that you have never heard it before, and instantly loved it, speaks to the power of hymns to move hearts.
Oh, I love that hymb!
Wow, that organ sounds great with Ben at the helm!
Please keep playing. Touchingly beautiful. Thank gid you have the intelligence and ability to keep this light burning. Western civilization is in your debt.
Agreed
I recently re introduced this hymn at my church.
Beautifully played Ben. You are a joy to listen to. It is a great pleasure to detect that you are very spiritual. So rare to see these days in someone so young. Clearly you are an old soul. May God Bless you and keep you safe all the days of your life and beyond. Martin, South Wales.
Thank you for your work and passion for the organ. May the Lord restore the Church's love for it.
Beautiful choice of registrations. Thanks for this beautiful performance.
Thank you Ben. I love this. Thank you for the inspiration.
Its one of my favorites hymn all the time
Beautiful interpretation! I echo another comment, yes, meeting in heaven will indeed be heaven! An Eternity of praise and worship! Maybe I will even be able to play the organ ad well.😇
Guess this hymn is popular all over the world.....even here in South Africa...
What a thundering crescendo and dramatic finish! Well done!!
Thanks Ben, superb as ever
This is how it’s done.
I am loving and appreciating all of your videos , God bless you and i hope that one day you might see this comment and play ' There is a Green Hill far away ' , for us , thankyou .
That was my poor grandmother's favourite hymn. She taught it to me as a child and when she was no longer able to get about would have me sit beside her armchair and sing it for her. Thank you for mentioning it and reminding me of it. Tears in eyes here now!
❤❤wonderful hymn live it😮😮
This was one of the most often sung hymns in the hymnbook of our little church, but the words were totally different -- "There is rest, there is peace, in the fold".
Well played. It is great to see young organists....
Ben is so cool. I love these little church organs. I can just about play what I call the “great hymns of the church “ but only for my own pleasure. Haha!
read the history of the composer of this song It will totally break your heart
I just shared one of your videos with a friend. You are amazing… a true blessing!
Só a Rede mesmo para trazer aos brasileiros música e organista tão maravilhosos. "Sou Feliz com Jesus, meu Senhor".
The man who wrote 'It is well with my soul' wrote the words following the death of his four children in a maritime disaster as he was devout Christian and attorney. It is a very emotional hymn to be sure that has the endurance of faith regardless of circumstances for every believer.
cried as I sang the bass part to this. Emotional? You better believe it. sang this song my whole life.. thanks Mr. Ben
My very favorite hymn because of the story behind it. Beautifully played, Ben, thank you!
I love that hymn. It is no longer in our newest hymn book, but I have written it in the front of mine, to be used at my funeral.
Beautiful, Thanks for sharing this video!❤
So beautiful. One of my favourite hymns.
Thanks! I too, prefer to play that hymn in the key of C! Nice registration changes!
Always associate this with the Moody Church in Chicago. (Back in the old days.)
Thank you from Chile.

Could you play immortal invincible God only wise hymn
Ben. Your channel is a laugh, something different. Keep it up. How about some Widor?
Beautiful!
