ART BLOCK - tips to get going again

- Art Block can be a pain. Or just not knowing what to do in general. I show what helps me: paper tearing. I give a number of examples and simple ways to proceed. Not all necessarily to create great art, but at least to get going again. Once you’re back in the saddle , you can depend on your own creativity again. Hope this helps.

Materials
The art materials I use in the videos are not sponsored.
I prefer to work on multi-purpose paper, more info in this video: • How to choose the RIGH...
In almost all my videos I use with Winsor&Newton Galeria acrylics, if not, I will say so in the video.
Other materials I use are in random order: 5, 10 and 40mm brushes, palette knives, acrylics medium, Ecoline liquid watercolor, Lyra color pencils, Lyra soft pastels, oil pastels, Stabilo color pencils, paper palette pad and basic masking tape. I also use household items like a permanent marker, scrub sponge, scissors, paper towel, and so on.

Can’t believe I have just seen my … dare I call it artwork… on your video Albert. My ego is chuffed. My self is determined to continue thanks to your very practical inspiration . What a start to the week😊
Thanks, Clare. And yes, it's artwork. And I'm just glad I could show it. It is a nice extra. Just keep creating. Albert
As always, lots of takeaways. If nothing else, tearing up newspapers can be very therapeutic. And you are right, Albert, above all: have fun. 😊
Thanks, Emmanuel. I often feel like a one year old on its birthday. Just happy tearing up the wrapping paper, ignoring the present in it. Therapeutic fun. Laughing about myself. Have a great day, Albert

Thanks, Marion, happy painting, Albert
I really like the framed torn pieces around the 10:11 mark. A lot of food for thought here to keep the created juices flowing. Happy accidents are always fun.
Thanks, Culture Fan, I like the framed ones as well. And indeed happy accidents are the best. Albert
There is a story that Lee Krasner was frustrated with her work and tore a bunch up and threw it on the floor of her studio. She came back the next day and loved some of the patterns and was inspired. I don't know if the story is true but I do something similar when I have pieces that just don't sing.
Thanks, Lady Farmer. Funny story. Yesterday, I picked up the sheets and didn't do it right, and a few pieces fell to the floor. I loved the pattern but forgot to put the picture in the video. So, thanks for sharing it this way, Albert
Thanks Albert! I Love what you do!
Thanks, Deb, lovely to hear. Albert
Thanks!
Thanks, Franca.
