9:23 Thank you for being so respectful to my culture. Tabis are originally meant for utility, not for it's aesthetic. The shoe is definitely ugly and I love it.
I did end up putting some grips on my tabi because I wasnt about to start slipping and sliding all over these nyc streets. I'm going to invest on some tabi inserts because I dont find them to be super comfortable for long wear, I have a high arch and need a little more cushion.
That’s smart, I need to do that too. Mines went through a uncomfortable period. But then it’s like they molded to my feet! I hope yours become more comfortable and the inserts work!💓
I bought my first Margiela boots (not tabis) on sale for $200 to see if I need to save for some tabis and omg. The quality. Nobody told me.. No I wasn’t listening! Now I cannot wait to get them. I’m hesitant on the flats because my feet are comically small and I feel like these will highlight it 😂😂
I tried these on in store and it was crazy how small they ran, a full size up still felt really snug, especially compared to the boots which I feel are tts, but I love the look and would love to own a pair one day
I've probably asked you this before but would you rec. sizing down in tabis for everyone? For ref. I'm a size euro 40. I've seen what they look like worn in and I don't want to look like I'm wearing chicken claws on my feet. I'm finally going to bite the bullet and buy either the slingbacks or the shoes with the ankle strap for my birthday next yr. The boots can wait. I've wanted a pair since I was a child lol - it's driving me crazy that I don't have them.
Hi there! I talk about sizing more in depth in the video I tagged in the cards. But short answer if you have wide feet or long toes I’d def say go tts. But if you’re a 40 with short slim feet, my rec would be go at least half size down. At least! But if you can try them on at a department store first that’s obvi the best thing to do. Hope this answered your question! Congrats in advance on your first pair tho! I’m looking to get the slingback eventually.
I second going down half a size. I'm typically a 41 and got the patent loafers and they are a wee bit roomy. For the tabi chelsea boots, I did a 40.5 and they are perfect.
im a euro 40 normally but of course all shoes are different, in my opinion I size up to a 41 in women's, but if its the "mens" I can fit a 40 as they're a bit wider. I didn't know people sized down though? if you can try them on somewhere ! in bigger cities they're at Nordstrom's sometimes :+)
does anyone have any sizing recommendations for the mary janes? i'm normally a 36.5 and i'm not sure whether to go up or down, I get conflicting information online. Thank you in advance!

I always get my tabi’s resoled as soon as I get them and def feel like that adds a massive amount to their longevity
With a vibram sole!!
Thank you so much for this tip, def going to do that the next time!❤
really doesn't look as nice as the leather sole tho, plus the feel is very different@@CIERAPARKER
