good vid mate! i just pre ordered one of these the other day, i had pre orderd the msi 3080 trio on launch day but just cancelled it to get the suprim instead, it seems like its the better card in everyway
Yeah Good choice if the prices similar to MSI Trio as the improvements on Suprim is good over Trio - specially thermals and acoustics. However if the price difference is more it gets hard to recommend it over ASUS Strix or maybe Aorus Master.. Anyways Congratulations and I hope you receive your card quickly.
@@budware8715 Thank you, it was roughly $300 aus more, but I was okay with that cause I just very much rathered the suprim, and I'm an msi gpu fan boy, no matter what, i was always gonna get an msi card even if the asus cards are better in ways, also have an msi mother board to and i like to keep my hardware all under 1 brand, apart from my gpu and mother board, everything else in my case is corsair, take a look if you like! imgur.com/gallery/i32v6EX
@@JD-gf7ur Oh Nice. Congratulations again.. Hope you receive it soon. Seems AU and NZ pricing are similar as in here too it's $300 more than the normal Trio X(when Trio is not inflated).. still it's tad high price. For this Suprim one it's almost similar to Strix hence makes sense to go with this one over trip if someone is okay paying higher(I dont suggest it).. I like your approach at the same time as I am on same boat.. My Mobo is of MSI too and I hate working with multiple software to sync RGBs..

@@budware8715 Yeah I paid an extra $300 for the suprim but I'm not too fussed with that i'll make a good chunk of my money back selling my old pc parts. Yeah dude rgb software can be a pain, msi's software "Dragon Centre" has been a real pain for me to the point where it would crash my pc so ive just decided to leave my mobo and gpu on their default settings, i've found corsairs rgb software to be pretty decent and thats basically all i use now since everyything else in my build is corsair :) Working with multiple softwares really isn't worth it imo
@@JD-gf7ur Yeah rightly said.. I almost have one rgb setting and leave like that as Dragon Center is a real pain & on top doesn't have lot of customization options like ASUS's counterpart. In short I hate it..

Yeah it's everywhere.. stock are so limited - but maybe in a good way too.. as by waiting sometime if you can get the higher GB version(saying this as nvidia doesn't have much perf to add over RTX3090 hence more or less the new cards will be higher GB based maybe more tuned/binned GPUs) that's more worth IMO.
@@budware8715 Yeah totally agree on that, 10GB might not be sufficient in the long run, especially with the AMD equivalent 6800 XT is now in 16GB already.

Thank you so much for watching. 3 x 8 PIN is suggested as the amount of factory default OC it has but I will try it out on my review and if I manage to test before I will reply you here.. Will keep you posted. :)
3 x 8PIN means per 150W*3 = 450W + 75W(PCI) so 525W from total power consumption is what MSI is allowing here theoretically just for the GPU. Which is significantly 200W higher than stock RTX3080. Will be interesting once I have my review data tallied.

Hi @Pezz,, Yes this GPU is compatible with the Tomahawk B550 surely. Just make sure you plug this GPU on the Top PCIe 16x slot (color coded silver/PCI_E1) for maximum compatibility. Also make sure you have a good 850W power supply.. All once checked you should be flying with that Tomahawk board..easy peasy

While reviewing I did found out that this GPU is hotter & power hungry(expected) than my expectation was - maybe you can wait and not cancel for this.. My Review will be up soon on here.. But for now I would suggest to just save money and stick with TUF. I have TUF review coming soon too just don't have enough time to complete.. still IMO save money and stick with TUF unless it's about your build aesthetic or MSI eco system. Due to GPU Boost all GPUs more or less Boost similar Clocks or at least reaches - how much minimum boost they can sustain is on cards - in that case MSI sustains but not too much so if you are saving $200/300 by sticking with TUF? Makes more sense in my experience.

I think graphics cards, are too big now. I know they are silent and cooler, but just too big.
I think a die shrink is needed, on the Geforce cards.
Rightly said.. smaller lithography is helpful but at the same time the demand of more power is what making the difference.. disbalancing everything
