- Welcome to the Gran Turismo 7 Garage Series! This video is focused on providing an overview of Aerodynamic & Downforce tuning in GT7:
1) How aero works.
2) Guidelines of how to adjust it.
3) The impacts of making changes.
This video pulls from the “Beyond the Apex” documentation within GT7 and shares some general guidelines to provide you with better stability and handling.
This is the third video in the series focused on tuning and hopefully will provide you with some quick, concise information that’ll help your lap times within GT7!
Tuning is and will always be somewhat subjective & personal. Please take this information and apply it as needed, understanding you will have to tailor the car to your specific tastes. Thank you! And enjoy!

**Quick update** The body kit WILL NOT remove the widebody kit from the car, just the weight reduction (Thanks Camaro!!). So like I mention in the video it's even more important that you think about applying widebody to a car as it'll limit your eligibility for a number of races. 👀
Voss you're killing it with these videos! It's all such useful information, especially doing cosmetics before tuning and why!!
Another helpful and informative video. Total pro caliber. Looks and sounds great. Much appreciated!
thanks for taking the time to make videos like this 👍
I’m very late to comment, but just wanted to say thank you! I,ve never been able to figure tuning out, but your videos are really helping.
Great video!
Thank You so much 💯% helpful.
Commenting until I get a podcast :) also another great video from my favourite youtuber. Keep em coming!
yes podcast!
Fun fact, putting low profile tires on your car actually effects grip, like IRL. Watch your PP pre and post rims, you'll see it move.
awesome "garage series". very helpful, concise and informative. by far the best breakdown and explanation of da vinci code that is tuning in GT7 on UA-cam. are you taking requests to do tuning setups for specific cars??? (DBR9 GT1 ' 2010, Porsche RSR 911' 2017 and Nissan Skyline GTR-34 V-Spec II Nur'2002 maybe???)
So I've got 3 in the pipeline right now, but after that I can start expanding into specific tunes. I was debating for my next series to deep dive 3-4 GR.3 tunes, and then the same for GR.4.
Appreciate the feedback! I want to finish up my garage series (2-3 more videos) and then I'll likely just focus on tunes for a bit.
@@Voss44 mos def....keep em tuning vids coming, a lot of value in those! I'm sure the specific tunes will be worth the wait. thanks
@@Voss44 can't wait for a transmission (gear ratios adjustment) vid.
@@alkanahtuitt4283 Working on it. Next week sometime I think!
@@alkanahtuitt4283 Finally got around to it. Vid is live on Saturday!
I'm going to give you amazing content here...
When you race GT3 cars on the GT3 races, you have to hit 730PP, this is where that down force gets super interesting.
When you lower the down force on the back and add more to the front, you lose 100 HP, plus the cars is not stable around turns.
When you lower the down force on the front and add more to the back, you gain 100+HP, plus the car turns better.
This is counter intuitive to the PP points going up and down, cause you would think you lose power for more stability and and gain power for instability?!?!
Try it out and make a video about it, it was fascinating when I was trying everything to make my lap times better for GT3 PP 730 races, I see the power I got for adjusting the down force from front to back but after all my tests the more stability equaled more power and the instability created less power.
I got smoother turns and higher top speeds with greater stability and 100+ more HP from lowering front down force to lowest and raising the back down force to highest.
Make a video of this and enjoy.
Do we need to buy any parts before adjusting the down force?
Yup pick up a front/rear spoiler from GT auto
How do i modify aerodynamics this feature? What should i buy ?
In GT auto front and rear spoilers give you the option to tune Aero.
GTR nismo wide body how many lower numbers like the wing and from the rear 😊
My car has a large body of 1042 horsepower, but I want help with any wing number and security bumper. I hope you will reply. Thank you.❤
Buying a new body from Tuning Shop WILL NOT remove the WIDEBODY! I tried on a Camaro Z28 '69 A new body only removes Weight Reduction! WIDEBODY IS PERMANENT!!!!! Buying another car is the only option. ....SMH
Oh my goodness I had no idea! That's horrible! I'll update and pin a comment thank you!
