I've been using the Vanquet (large) Dendrite sling bag for over 4 years and it is indispensable for my EDC. Sometimes I wish it was a bit larger but then I would just put more in it and weigh it down. ...but these new models sound like they have some great improvements, like the weather proofing. I would probably get a 4 if they had it in the heather blue they sometimes offer - this color vibes more Gray Man than even the Shadow Gray in my opinion. And I do not conceal carry in these bags.

I use the Helikon Tex fanny pack, carried over the shoulder on the chest for CCW. Tear open pocket and dedicated holster plus spare mag elastic.

Also great video by the way! And I don't blame you from how you frame the discution it is how most people see cross body bags after all so for a video like this that set up does make complet sense to use!

I feel like a ccw bag that causes you to use the main compartment where you’d probably have other useful daily items is a no go. Now you have to conceal your entire bag ensuring no one sees the butt of your gun as you go to grab a pen or snack or whatever else you’d use the bag for.

I am very opposed to off-body carry. Aside from the real possibility of losing the bag (humans do lose things), it will be the first thing a bad person takes from you. Some years ago there was an off duty female police officer who had her firearm in her person. A bad person with a firearm relieved her of her purse and the gun it contained. So I will never do it. Each to his own on that one. You rock, GT.

99.9% of the time I carry OWB with a Glock 19. But when it was over 90° here I did use a cross body set-up with a Glock 19.

Every time I see one of these types of bags and back packs in rural , city areas, I can’t help but think of bad things inside them. I guess that’s what happens when you were in law-enforcement and then arm security for years good presentation.

I have a couple of slings including this one which I've setup to ride completely horizontally on your chest just like a chest pouch. Makes a huge difference.
These slings have to have multiple mounting points for the strap so you can get the fit/orientation you want. And they need a rear compartment or sleeve with a magnetic closure instead of a zipper. They have at least 1 ccw sling that uses magnets that I've seen. Nothing wrong with a zipper, but magnets are strong enough and way faster & easier for ccw draw.

I rock the LAPG frunk pack as a cross-body ccw bag sometimes in the summer. $20.

Not ideal as a chest pack, but makes a nice purse. Priced too high, Helikon Tex numbat chest pack is $82 and is hands down the best I’ve tried. Hill people gear has a nice one too.

My keys are always clipped and tucked into my pants pocket.
I feel having your keys kept in a bag is a massive security risk. It's bad enough if your batch of keys includes your car key/key fob so the bag snatcher now has the opportunity to find and steal your car too. But what's more worrying to me is if your bag has something with your home address on it. Now your house is totally vulnerable unless you can get home immediately and arrange for your locks to be changed. And by the way, did you also lose your phone because it was in your bag too, so you can't even call home to warn the occupants?

I've been carrying a shoulder/sling bag for years, since having a vision impairment, I need to carry some extra odds and ends. Also with my vision being what it isn't ;) I will never carry a shooter. When I do walk, I carry a walking cane and or a large and I mean LARGE Cold Steel folding knife. Here's hoping you never need to use your shooter.

G'day Aaron, quality brand, not cheap, but you get what you pay for. If the law allowed CCW here, I'd be always going on body .... same as wallet, phone, knife and keys. Anyway, I reckon "reverse engineer it" i.e. lay out every thing you need to carry in a bag, then add about 20%, and buy the bag accordingly, for me that means at least a small to medium EDC pack, say 30-35 liter.
Mind you, just walk'n the dog, that shrinks to a "bum bag", ....... what you folks call a "fanny pack", which incidentally, we in oz find hilarious, ......... you may be aware, that means something totally different here, I'll give you a hint; if you happen to be a lady wear'n it low down at the front, perhaps with some spare hygiene items, ..... then it makes sense ; ) Cheers Duke.
    P.S. Btw; I joined a pistol club the other day ......... we start at 9 ........... drink 'til 12 .... ........................ and P155 'til 3

I mean Cross body bags are just wasit packs a major part of milltary infarty kit for at least a century even after the shest rig tried it's hardest to took over for like 30 years... So yeah in milltary use cross body bags are reserved for covert units that can't wear a normal belt rig... Also both crossbody bags and weasit packs are just meeanger bags made to be backmpacks... And unoike purches which are hard gender locked massager bags are not, never have been... Like never never unlike wruist watches which started hard Gender locked but got unlocked because WW1 shown a wrist watch is much more practical for warfare then pocket watchs are... Exact the times where pocket watchs are needed to serve the same riole they were made for and why they became part of the train conductor's uniform like denum did for train engeers...

I really hate to be that guy, because I hate them. But when you showed clear, you didn’t actually look at the weapon and confirm clear. Extractors fail sometimes and you could easily end up with a round still in the chamber that way.

Is it a purse? I see a man with something like this one and I think maybe it's freaky or a gun bag. I'm going to assume gun bag. With a fanny pack, it could be anything inside and be less noticeable without assumptions. My preference is classified... I can not confirm or deny my preference. On a serious note, these man bags look kinda tactical. 😇

    NO!
I'm a man, everything I always carry on me every day goes on my person in my pockets.
If it's not physically on my person in my pockets it's not " EDC ".
