    definitely bigger than it was when I was growing up. That being said, we joke and call it a "total bore... so putting the title as "super bore" sort of made me chuckle" It's really nice to see that it's regaining some of its size.

    Moncton area is home for my husband and myself, We used to go to Moncton High School on a city bus passing this spot every day. Sometimes the wave would be much higher, We were told the size of the wave was determined by the moon, This wave comes in every 12 hours round the clock. The River bed fills up side to side with the muddy but then it empties out again getting ready for the tidal wave 12 hours later. We now live in Ottawa but every time we go to visit family in Moncton we get to see the wave,

    I am here in Moncton, and you should have seen it back when I was a little girl at least 3 times as high. The marsh build up over the years has slowed it down quite a bit.

    I took this video June 25, 2013. This was the highest bore of the season but it is usually close to this size now. :)

    When I was a child my parents had a travel trailer and we visited the maritimes several summers. I found the Tidal Bore the most interesting of all the tourist places. Didn’t enjoy the Reversing Falls or the Magnetic Hill but the Tidal Bore was very enjoyable!

    that's it?? come to Alaska and watch the 4 foot high bore tide come up the Upper Cook Inlet. it happens quite often. Most of the time it's about 3 feet high and you can surf it!!

      This one happens twice a day every day and it's very common to see surfers on it. The Bay of Fundy has the highest tides in the world!

    It's just the tide coming in. the Bay of Fundy has the highest tidal bore on Earth, thanks to the moon. This is a normal every day occurrance, but tourists think it's special

      The New Brunswick coast that is on the bay of fundy has the highest tides in the world and they change every 6 hours and 13 minutes. In some places the water either rises or falls over 8 feet every hour causing rivers to flow in different directions.

    I've recently been watching videos (in sadness and awe) of the Japanese tsunamis from 2011. Then this one appeared. Quite a different way to greet an incoming wave. I guess it's all relative.

      The Bay of Fundy has the highest tides in the world and it causes two tidal bores that occur in Moncton, NB and Truro, NS twice a day. The bore always draws quite a crowd when it arrives as it signifies the arrival of a 160 billion tonne tide.

      Как я понимаю, это начало сезона дождей. Где-то в верховьях реки начинаются дожди и река быстро наполняется. Трудно сказать, почему так резко, это зависит от местных условий. Приходилось видеть подобное в Крыму
