I loved that George never had any qualms about showing pro wrestling. I found out that Hulk Hogan had beaten Ric Flair at Bash at the Beach 1994 to win the WCW title on the Sports Machine. Things like that were awesome.
Can you imagine? A sports digest going from event to event, game to game without all the analytical rubbish, and tomboys in high heels and make up, taking up more time than sports itself.
Just like so many others on this post as a kid we didn’t have cable as well so Sunday night after all the NFL Games I loved watching George Michael tell us how’s today’s football games went.!. Miss this show and George
Loved this show as a kid. The Bubby Brister to Louis Lipps connection had me laughing. Two of the greatest names in sports history. I remember them well
I didn't have cable as a kid so this was my main source of sports!! I miss this guy to this very day ESPN had nothing on him...
Even if you had cable you would have still watched this guy trust me.
I second that bro
Not really, in NY we would get the sports machine at midnight on channel 4... And channel 4 NBC was local
@angelo is he your son?
RIP George Michael I love watching the sports machine
This was great late night weekend viewing. As a kid I thought this was the coolest show.
I always looked forward to the plays of the month with the Star Wars theme music
I miss watching this show and used to watch this show stay up at night
I see those AFN commercials! Used to watch this show as a kid in Europe. Thanks for the nostalgia.

I would like to know about the musical theme of the George Michael Sports Machine, such as who wrote it.
I loved the bumper music as they went to commercial
Richard Dent tackle would get him suspended in today’s NFL
Suspended, fined, publicly shamed, and first born removed
Does anyone know the name of the background music while George is doing the NFL highlights from 8:58-13:09 ?
