I was watching this the entire time thinking "this feels like an advert for having friends" and then at the end, turns out it was. Fair enough, suppose!
I hear the bitumen goes on better with a high visibility jacket 👍 All joking apart, I sincerely hope life gives you what you want, whether you pursue college or UA-cam videos or the woodwork or whatever else you fancy doing. You strike me as a pure sound lad and you deserve the best of whatever life brings to you.
I've got to say Eoin, I'm a man over in Scotland, and it's pretty great to see very much a more, this side of the Atlantic way of living with rural or just generally useful skills. Most stuff of whatever genre this would come under is American, and not always practical for what would be achievable here. I think that its a great thing to see you having a call to speak up for the mental health of men as well in this video, as anything pro-man isn't too popular with the way our world is going. Keep it up, I'm very new to your posts but I'll be having a mosey and I'll surely be commenting with questions more often. Have a great day.
Thank you so much for your videos. You're a charming presenter with such a pleasant smile and demeanor. It was fun seeing you and your friend just being together, chatting, enjoying the conversation. I almost felt like I was eavesdropping on you two. You're one of my favorite UA-camrs!
Proper lad with proper skills and message, can't but like and subscribe. Thanks for speaking up for us men, culture is changing bit by bit, and humanity needs proper, manly but heart in the right place kinda rolemodels, as yourself are. Cheers from Finland and keep up the great work!
@@Cassiee102 can't _but_ subscribe, can't do nothing else but subscribe, no other option. that's what i meant, i thought it's common saying in English but might have butchered it or something, English's only my second language. hope this clears it, cheers from Finland :)
@@Nakkiteline not at all! I absolutely misread your comment, sorry about that. My mind couldn't wrap around the thought that someone couldn't like and sub his videos hahaha
Great video and a grand message.. nothing better than going at project with your brothers or friends. Great channel nice to see no nonsense content unlike other channels .. wholesome
As someone who lives a mile from Lough Corrib, has spent far too many hours watching wood working and boat building videos, and even dabbled in building my own little boat, it's an utter disgrace that youtube has kept this channel hidden from me. Savage quality videos without the typical "WHAT'S UP UA-cam?! TODAY WE'RE GONNA DO THE 24 HOUR CURRACH BUILD CHALLENGE" intensity you sometimes see. Great to see. I'd offer an extra pair of hands if ya ever needed it on a project as I'm guessing you're just a county or two north of me and I'd love to see your setup, but I doubt you'd be inviting randoms off the internet to your house. Also, that tip of dipping the oars is class, or as you said the petroleum jelly.
Must be nice to have friends, who understand you. I'm autistic, so, no friends, but happy nonetheless. 74, live alone on a small farm. Dumb luck you winding up in my UA-cam feed. Happily liked and subscribed. I too am a craftsman. I build steam engines and windmills.
I use a similar thing for temporarily repairing flat roofs it Called acrypol and it’s like this flexible acrylic paint with fibres in it. I’ve found it work best when you put a nice thick coat on but it does take a few days to fully dry waterproof straight away though.
I just found this channel by random chance but recognised your from Ireland immediately cause if you know the guy I watch jacksepticeye. But just watching your wood working videos I love them! I've kinda been interest in wood working for so long never got into it but watching you is kinda therapeutic and nice. I really hope to visit Ireland actually
I've not heard of November until now andI 'm glad to hear of the push behind it as there is a great need in my corner of the globe and world wide as well I image. It follows a parallel track as in Proverbs 27:17 "Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another", and Ecclesiastes 4:12 "Though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him-a threefold cord is not quickly broken"..and then digging deep to understand and put to practice the wisdom. It's seems a natural thing to do on the pitch or on the mat, or in battle but on the battlefield of male thinking and emotion ...not so much. Call or drop in on that guy whose personality seems changing or the guy who seems a loner by choice and perhaps is.
Just some food for though but investing in a roller even if it is throw away grade would make that water proofing so much quicker and not only that puts down a thicker layer of paint than a brush to each their own
very nice bit - it's crucial to look out for oneself and one's mates. Any good sources for plans to construct a curragh/naomhoag? My forebears used them on the Great Blasket, and I really want to build one here to continue the tradition.
Eoin you're a sound lad. I landed on the channel by pure dumb luck and my respect for your content has grown a lot since then. I recognize you're from Ireland cause you sound like the entire cast of Hardy Bucks. Keep up man. Hope you get through college fairly easy. Anyway, that's the crack.
The CC from UA-cam is just hilarious. Sometimes it’s fine, sometimes it’s not even close, and a surprising a lot of the time it doesn’t even fucking try. It just goes, well I have no fucking idea what they’re saying.
hi, that is a lovely part of thhe country the lake and the surroundings are really great, peaceful as you said, and then the kettle I never seen one of them is there a hole up the middle for the heat to pass up ?. anyway thanks for sharing its a nice video , Cheer's tc,
Smoke follows beauty but when it follows too closely speak the words "I hate rabbits." I suppose coneys could be substituted. I kin not where this started or why it works but I learned it from some more or less wholesome but rowdy Boy Scouts around'78-'80. That was when cars came with radios capable of AM and FM and antennas or broken antennas and shirt hangers because some Boy Scouts liked to have sword fights in random retail parking lots. Yep, last century.
"Well lads, this is the currach I built last summer." Build videos posted: A flimsy shack made out of pallets A stool A chair Builds an entire boat but posts zero content about it.
Rather sure I already know the answer to this, but as a South Florida guy, myself, we’d be on the lookout for alligators 🐊. I your area that’s not a worry, I’d imagine.
i wish u many more years of friendship, ur the kind of ambassador these charities need loved the video as always i second this! @i-love-comountains3850 I love that we're seeing more men sharing camaraderie and support. We desperately need this energy.

Indeed, I felt a breath of freshness watching. I came here to listen to his talk while doing stuff, and it leveled up with pleasant companionship.

Even if it's a bit the way you guys speak to eachother is crazy neat lmao
This is like some genteel public access show that's waiting to become a cult hit for a generation of lonely youths looking for a simpler life.

Fun fact, there's an actual fluid dynamic explanation for why smoke from fires always seems to follow you around if you try to move out of the way.
Watching him pull out a modern phone was jarring. I half expected the man to pull out an old rotary phone
Well done Eoin and Gavin, you promoted Movember very well. All the best from West of Scotland 🌱

My great grandfather was a fisherman out of Towney, Kilcar, County Donegal. I wonder if he used a currach?
Will you do a tutorial on how to make a currach?
great video eoin keep up the good work
Thanks Vincent

How hot do you like your tea
Eoin:yes
Where do you get the bitumen from
Honestly if you were the only Irish lad anyone knew, we’d all think Irish people are the nicest in the world
What kind of tea do you lads drink over there? Looks like CTC.
Awesome, wish I was there instead haha
Nice boat! Why do you use sticks for oars? Is that the traditional thing for that kind of vessel?
-Sincerely, confused Norwegian
