"For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows." (I Timothy 6:10) NKJV
This historical quotation is flawed. It ought to read "the love of money is the root of many forms of evil". Evil exists where no money is involved: murder, through jealousy (wanting what someone else has [looks, fame, influence, etc.]) or envy (bearing ill will towards another). These sayings are bandied about & repeated parrot-fashion without thinking them through. To be sure, money, or what it's perceived it can do for them, is an active agent of the darker forces (evil), but it is far from totally encompassing.
@@stephenwitherington879 , your quote is essentially the same as mine from the NKJV. Obviously money isn't the source of all evil, or we could just get rid of money to get rid of evil.
@quercusrubra777 My reasoning is not the same. "All kinds" means "every kind". "Many forms" allows for exceptions, & these, as I have made clear, most certainly exist. Test my theory further: nasty comments on UA-cam, or anywhere else, constitutes evil (the one making such slurs is led on by the Devil [evil]) & there is definitely no pecuniary advantage. The Bible, incidentally, is strewn with erroneous statements. Yes, originally the word of God, but then subjected to some 46k worth of changes to reflect matters as man sees it. It pays to remember this. However, it is clear from your reply that, in the final analysis, we must agree to disagree. The civil, & non-evil, way to end a discussion.
Blooper - when Stack got off the boat that was chasing him, he forgot his camera outfit, yet when he got to his apartment, the film was hanging from the line. Good move, Indiana Jones type.
Always funny how the bad guys are automatically in the same random places as the good guys. And someone automatically knows where our hero is. Also everyone knows about a passed along package.
I enjoyed the depiction at the beginning of this movie, of your planet Earth. It's seems very nice. Perhaps we will stay here permanently.....
Nancy Kwan was sooo beautiful ❤❤❤
That's the Pearl Cream, the 'Miracle of the Orient'!

So instead of just quoting someone. Do something about it.

He had trained his camera outfit to swim. Says so in the script.
Not a blooper as it's clearly pictures he had taken on previous occasions.
Very good. Movie

And suddenly the cop knows all about the movements of our hero.
Waiting for Graham Chapman to pop up, saying Stop That, Stop That. No this is all to Silly.
They dubbed Elke? Outa here at 26:23
No
Terrible movie
Thank God I'm not in it, nor an actor!
For a terrible movie, it wasn't bad.
