Graham Crowden (Mr. Blunden's assistant) - such a talented actor in anything he took on. For his comedic brilliance in latter years, look no further than 'Waiting for God', you won't be disappointed :)

🇬🇧 Excellent movie, so sad that things didn't end differently. The horrid Mrs. Blair prevented medical care that could have saved his life, knowing he was still alive.

This film is the classic way of distorting real situations so that they eventually become the truth. Similar to Mc Laglen's film "The Sea Wolves", events are dramatized in a distorted way. The conflict between a depressed, overwhelmed admiral and the captain of the German flagship is portrayed completely incorrectly here. In the film, there is vain joy on the bridge during the battle with the Hood, but in reality the atmosphere was "tense".

It's a pity about the sound balance; the music overpowered the dialogue at times. Still, a very good film.

That was good. When I saw it as a child it was all about ships shooting at each other. I didn’t appreciate how good, and understated, the acting was , and yes, Dana Wynter was beautiful.

As a mother of a young son, this is so painful to watch. Young men can be very vulnerable to exploitation and abuse. There was no sense in his early death, and the people responsible for Timmy's death got away too lightly, having connections in high places no doubt. Thank God I know there is a God that sees all and will ultimately right all wrongs, and deliver real justice. Jesus will wipe away all the tears shed.
