I want to say the NBA should make separate category for play in game stats like they do for the playoffs.
This way, we know how much players scored over their whole career in official NBA games.
This is easy to see, since they put it in neither season or post season stats. It is an official set of games, which determines who makes the playoffs, not an exhibition game, which determines nothing in the regular season nor playoffs.
