    All Truck drivers that drive in these conditions deserve Hazzard Pay. Without u truckers risking your life's to deliver the shipments u deliver- it wouldn't get delivered. So all u have my repsect for doing what u do out there everyday... Without u all doing these- Shelves would be empty and gas stations wouldn't get gas- all supplies would come to a stop without all of u.. Thank u for what u do

    I should have been in bed hours ago, but I have been binge watching all your videos AGAIN! It's a good thing I'm retired and don't have to go to work in a couple of hours. Man! I try to learn about driving in snow conditions (grew up in the desert), but always find myself being amazed at how you handle the rig and deal with other drivers in such bad conditions. All the truckers deserve the utmost respect. I know, just like all occupations and people, there are the good and bad. Trust me, I had seen my share of both when I worked as a fuel clerk at one of our truck stops decades ago. But the majority of them are good!! God Bless and protect you Mike! Hugs to your grandkids!!

    Enjoy the hell out of your video's and most of the dialogue. Ignore the trolls and dont even respond to them is the best thing to do. Most of them most likely have never even been in a truck. Least long driven one. You keep doing what your doing driver and if it goes bad. Well, it goes bad. It is what it is. You seem to have it under control. Even though theres been a few times you scared me a little. Well, Im not here to watch someone drive Mis Daisy either. Besides, the trucks that are on the road now are far FAR safer and can go in weather that older trucks struggle in. Their amazing. Anyways, Keep it clean. Keep it safe. Keep it Professional and drive on Driver.

      @@jake68jcroul38 Did he wreck in this, or any of the other videos? If the answer is no; then you're the jagoff who does not know how to drive, as this is a results based profession. Your opinion is worthless, because you don't know what you're talking about, and pretending you do know what you're talking about just proves you're an idiot on top of being a prick. Stay mad, moron.

    As a UK based HGV Driver (Class 8 Semi's) i'm NOT going to spout my gob off at how you drive, that's entirely up to you, and what YOU feel comfortable with. I personally, agreed with everything you said and did, in both vids. I've driven North of the Artic Circle in Norway, Sweden, Finland and Russia, mostly in the Winter, on Scandinavian Spec Snow Tyres. Didn't have to put the 'Chains on once, brilliant tyres in snow, and if it was that bad, we'ed park up. (And Yes, they we're ALL, time critical deliveries, so we had to be there on time, but it don't help if your in a ditch, or worse.... so as i say, it's what YOU feel comfortable with). Awesome Video, keep the Hammer Down, stay safe, and looking forward to the next vlog.

    It is interesting listening to you talk about where you are headed....St. George! I've been to St. George when my sister and I went to go to Bryce Canyon from her home in Vegas one spring when I went out to see her. We left St. George heading across the Mountains to Bryce Canyon but about 5 miles outside town on the mountain road we hit SNOW! drove about 2 miles in it and my sister turned around and went back to St. George. We had all weather tires but she hadn't driven in snow in a long time. Good thing she did turn around. They got 2feet of snow by the next morning. We would have been stuck over the mountain. Then she got food poisoning and we stayed 3days in St. George while she recovered. We went up on a Friday morning and came back on Monday. That was beautiful country-very Majestic Mountains. I don't envy you taking your rig over Virgin River Gorge! That is an awesome drive just steep and in snow....nope not me. I'd ride it but I don't think I would want to drive it in a snow storm

    I have a question? While driving in these snowy conditions..Do you always flash your headlights when your coming up on a vehicle? Letting them know what your about to overtake and pass them.Or sometimes? including all vehicles a semi-or car truck.etc.

    • @ridingshotgun1251
      @ridingshotgun1251  5 років тому +5

      No I don't. My headlights are on but I never flash. Every driver out there in that type of condition should be 110% concentrated on all their surroundings all the time as I am.. that means they should be using their mirrors as well as their windshield.. as I am coming up on them sometimes I can see them looking in there driver's side mirror at me.. if they are not using their mirrors they wouldn't see a flash anyway

      claudio caballero great question. Most all truck drivers are ready to ditch the truck if a case like that arises and we are unable to stop safe. Too many times i have seen accidents just around a corner and you have no clue till your line of sight breaks it and you realize you have very little time. This is also why you will see more than one truck at times in the sticks or snowbanks. Not a bad driver but one who chose the ditch over running into someone’s loved ones 👍🏼

If there were spin outs ahead, and all the lanes were blocked, you would not be able to stop in time. I'm 70 and have been driving in snow all my life with all kinds of vehicles.
