Congratulations on 1200 miles. It doesn't seam possible. I am proud of all of you for overcoming the early pain and injuries. You are doing great miles.
Congratulations Sass and your tramily! From what I’ve heard from here to Momma K the miles tick past seemingly fast. Enjoy every step. You’ve been so aware of the trail and everything that it offers. Your awareness, is why it’s been a blessing following you. Thank you!✌️🙂❤️
You are very good at thru hiking Jess. I have not seen very many people as comfortable as you in the woods for long periods. Congratulations on the 1200-mile mark. Less than 1000 miles to go and not only is it the prettiest 1000 miles of the trail, but it will also go fast! Looking forward to the after-trail life is good and you will find that a lot of your decision-making post trail will be easier than before but after N.H. and Maine, leaving the trail will be much harder. I don't know how to describe it, but those last two states make you not want to leave..........and no matter how hard you try to explain it to friends, family and others, they just can't understand what you are saying or feeling about it. They will nod yes but that dumb look on their face says otherwise. You will find that post trail, you will rely on conversation from other thru hikers more and more to understand your thoughts and feelings about the trail and life in general. It will continue to make tight bonds of friendships from your hike. It might be a little early to say this, but you are one to remember things important to you. PLAN, I repeat, PLAN on slowing down when you get to N.H. and on into Maine. It will happen naturally but not as much as you think. When you get there, you will know what I mean. Those last two states will stick with you for the rest of your life. You will remember the trail, the hike and all the good times but the last two states will definitely define your future thinking. WOW, I've never talked that deep to a hiker currently hiking. I guess that I just know, you will get it! Savior the experience, it will be life changing. Hike safe, Hike strong, Have fun! geek
Geek! Such a lovely comment, so thoughtful. It sparked a nice conversation between Gadget and I on the months to come. Always appreciate your perspective on the trail!
Congratulations on reaching 1200 miles! You said that you would miss being on trail, well we will certainly miss seeing your videos. Don't think about "normal life", just totally enjoy the experience you are having now. Thank you for taking us with you. Happy hiking❤
That is so much milage. You seem to be averaging 20 miles or more per day .. that is boss . I have watched a fair number of AT Thru Hiker UA-cam channels over the last two years and many report after crossing the halfway point as you did and started thinking about post trail life…. I find that so interesting. The hot days are ahead of you and I will be saying prayers for you. ❤😊
Oh man, I remember that descent into Port Clinton. We did a 27 mile day to get into that town and just crashed on some old mattresses someone had set up underneath that train station shelter you can see at the end of your video 😂
Congrats on 1200 miles!
