- My first cook on the Louisiana Grills Founders Series 1200. Reverse seared ribeye. Delicious and juicy but could have come off a bit sooner. I learned a lot about the grill through this cook.
Thanks for sharing this video as well as the initial burn in video, Marc, much appreciated. It helped me making a decision getting the Legacy 1200, too. I guess I am about a month behind you with my learning curve (just did my first cook today). I did notice that you routed the probe cables through the main lid - there is actually a hole in the main barrel on its left hand side just up from the display to put the probes through.
Thank you so much Thomas. I completely missed that hole for the probes. I actually was questioning why there wasn't one. Now I know! Enjoy your Legacy 1200.
You might not want to keep probs in while searing cause they are not rated for that kinda heat. They won't last long
