SHINING EVEN BRIGHTER
Some fans of the first Radian® 2.0m motor glider loved it so much, they added lights to continue flying at night. The E-flite® team took note and added vividly colored, factory-installed LEDs throughout the airframe, offering the visibility and orientation needed to fly at dusk or even in total darkness with the original Night Radian. Now they've improved the popular model again by updating it with a modern, higher-visibility trim scheme and upgrading it with a telemetry-capable ESC. Using a compatible Spektrum™ AirWare™ equipped transmitter and Smart receiver (such as the AR631 included in the Bind-N-Fly® Basic version), Night Radian 2.0m pilots can now view a variety of telemetry data in real time including motor RPM, current, overall battery voltage and more. I love how fast it climbs. I use an 1800 on mine. Levels out really well. The 2200 seems a bit much for weight.
I didnt like it with 2200mAh. This one is perfect like you said.
I have two of this model and I really like them. Night flying is a real joy now. I added wing landing light LED's (one on each wing leading edge) which makes landing in total darkness very successful. This sailplane is difficult to spot land since it glides so well in ground effect. Wish it had spoilers.

I was totally amazed when you got the plane inverted, I didn't think that with that type of wing design so much dihedral it would stay inverted! My Radian Pro flies great with only a 1300 3S. I have a UMX Radian that always pumped - not been flown for years - now I will try it with a lighter battery!
I tried 1300mAh but it looked nose light.

Yep! My radian requires about 20% throttle to eliminate the porpoising on 2200 size bat. I'll try the 1800!👍
Yes, after a flight with a RC MIG 15 you need something to save your nerves haha. That's why I usually have a small electric glider with me. And when the thermals are really good, I don't want to miss them!

Im sure u can assign your lights to ur bind button. That way, every time u hit that momentary switch, u get a different pattern. (WE do that on our 1st Ultrix, new Ultrix, night vapor, etc. )👍

you should definitely try the Phoenix 2400 if you liked this. It fits a 5000 battery and can glide for an hour and a half.

I added flaps to mine..they slow it way down or make it faster on landings.fun relaxing plane though.

Did you try the CG dive test??? The glider should stay on her descent rate and not climbing alone to be at the perfect CG 🤓
Great point, also amount of down elevator required when inverted is also an indication of nose heavy, maybe not so much with a glider.

PNP version if you can find one. I fly FUTABA and hate the BNF only availability LHS says well just sell the receiver, Lol, guys don't want to pay more than $10cdn for used even though it is new.

Set the cg to 3 inches and put a dowel in the wing tube I use 2200 3 cells and it’s perfect, flys forever

We watch the turkey vultures ride the thermals and follow them up our field is great for gliders our field is about 5200 feet and the mountains around us are great for wind

I 've seen on an another ytuber channel that the CG marked on the manual is wrong, it's for the old version, they didn't reprint the book. it's 80 mm from the front edge of the wing. hope it helps . bye ;-)

Hey Boys, here's a question to get you thinking! When flying this 3 Chanel glider inverted why isn't the rudder control reversed? Have a careful think, most aircraft when flown inverted, the rudder control is reversed, but not this one. 😲
