Fun fact: this song was a thank you song to Lin Manuel Miranda’s older sister. Lin said, in an interview, that he did not find out until later in life that his older sister took on a lot of extra responsibilities when they were younger that he did not realize. Louisa’s personality is based a lot on Lin’s sister.
I haven't seen the movie, but I loved your last reaction to 'We Don't Talk About Bruno', it's catchy AF. This song is just as good and I love these lyrics! Disney still makes me smile even at my age!

Jessica Darrow is a badass. I saw an interview where she said that Lin Manuel Miranda coached her to let emotion come through in her singing over making it technically perfect. Love 💗
I was waiting for you to do this one. Loved this song. The message, the lyrics. I love the Hercules line. This movie brought back quality Disney soundtrack.
Encanto is inspired by the clothes, the food, the fauna and landscapes in Colombia South America and the magical culture of Colombia. I really liked your reaction
Might I suggest waiting to react to “What Else Can I Do?”, “Dos Oroguitas”, and “All of You” until you are watching the film? They’re kind of spoilery and have more of an emotional impact when first experienced in their intended contexts.
That's my favorite part!!! "It's like pressure drip drip drip." There is so much to every person in the movie singing, their vocals, and the details are amazing. If people actually listen to the words, we all can relate to someone in this family & thats what makes it special. I commented on your last reaction, "We don't talk about bruno", great videos 👍❤👍❤
As a single provider for a fam of 5 this song was amazing! It was so.... awakening to the feeling I couldn't put a finger on and her contralto voice just drives it home. Thanks for the review it was fun.
The fact that “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” got more hype than this song when this movie came out if baffling to me. This song has so much more going on musically and emotionally. You’re absolutely right, a total bop.
One of my favorite parts of the songs from Encanto is that stuff happening in the background tend to go with the music. (Cerberus heads falling in this song, the doors falling in the second verse, even the guy tapping his shirt at the beginning of "We Don't Talk About Bruno")

I love the deep tone of her voice. Catchy song too. Is it just me or did she sound a bit like Katie Perry when she sings low/deep? Guess I'm gonna have to check out Jessica Darrow.
I completely relate to this song. I finally listened to the lyrics after my 9 year old watched the movie 15 million times. It actually brought me to tears at the end. I also want a unicorn donkey. 💖
We don’t talk about Bruno actually passed let it go lol it’s been number 1 I love it. I love this movie and this is my 2nd favorite and my first one is we don’t talk about Bruno, I love all the songs. My favorite 2 parts in the We don’t talk about Bruno is Dolores where she’s like quiet and rapping lol, and Camilo where he charges into different people. I just wish people would watch the movie before reacting to the songs cause then it’s not a pure reaction.
Now let’s see the reaction to “Dos Oroguitos”, but react to seeing and hearing it while watching the movie. That song hits me hard every time I get to that part of the movie. “Surface Pressure” is my favorite song in the movie, but “Dos Oroguitos” is a close second.
Love your reaction and breakdown of this one! I totally recommend watching the movie and listening to the rest of the soundtrack (even if it’s just on your own and not for your channel!). EVERY song is soooooooo good. Best Disney soundtrack in a long time!
I can tell that you are someone who will probably keep coming back to this song and eventually it will will make you cry a bit. Notice the subtlety too of the one taking in all the high pressure tasks of rescuing the people in their life that others are just barely keeping up. It’s a lonely place. Her sister wasn’t quite on the donkey when they were flying, trying to keep her classes from falling off. Just watching in partial wonder mixed with horror. I get that look a lot at work. I can tell from how you actually worry about your viewers that you might be that person concerned about the world and taking it on your shoulders.
Luisa is such a deep character. Dispite her physical strength and her apparent confidence, the expectations her mother throws on her are far heavier than what she can carry. When Mirabel hugs her just after the song, i started getting emotional
It's always interesting and funny to hear your reactions Rebecca 🤩 You are explaining vocal details so awesome, that everyone could understand it clearly💛 Thanks you for this amazing job and keep it up 💫 You are doing really great 👐
She doesn't have that typical Disney song voice....you know like the Character voice songs....She is sooo good at flipping in and out of character voice while singing masking it with those cool inflections to stay true to the character but still have a cool singing voice...
Well, I am in luck. Luisa is my son's favorite, so we must watch this video several times a day, as well as listen/sing all the songs all day every day! I absolutely love it all!
Loved it! Could you please react to “the guy who didnt like musicals”? The sequel to it is “Black Friday” which is also great! The vocals in the first one are honestly so good!
I identify so hard with this song. In the context of the movie, she's singing about the pressure of being The Strong One™ of the family which is exactly what I've felt like at so many times...
#RebeccaFacts: Rebecca reacted to Blind Guardian-The Bard Song/Valhalla (Live at Wacken 2016) and had a song in her heart for the rest of the day and ended my 1 1/2 year long campaign of trying to get a Rebecca reaction of Blind Guardian-The Bard Song/Valhalla (Live at Wacken 2016)
OMG IVE MISSED YOU SO MUCH!!!! Rebecca please if you get the chance PLEASE look into listening to “Lend Me Your Voice By Belle the English version by Kylie McNeill I’d love to hear your input and reactions on her inflections and voice she’s truly talented and AMAZING!
Oh, I was waiting for you to react Encanto songs since the movie came out. Love your reactions and analysis. Have a nice week ^^ (Also, I was wondering if some day you could react to Alex Turner 👀)
Love your review, especially "we don't tak about Bruno". Luisa is the eldest child thus she is talking about the pressures of being in that position. The responsibility and expectations that comes with it. I relate a lot to her and i would always TearUp listening to the song.
I wish we could actually meet. How could anyone not love you and just pick you up and squeeze the crap outta yeah! Anyways...fave song from the soundtrack. It's deep and mesmerizing and her voice is *insane* You'll have to watch some of her other performances. Such a lovely heavy round tone, I think she does mostly jazz generally.
I love this reaction videos and your input. I love this movie and this soundtrack!!! May I just offer a slight thought for consideration.... when you pause the song to talk about something, coud you not play that little jingle in the background? It's hard to hear the song part that you are talking about when there's a totally different song in a different key and style in the background... just a thought!
I haven't seen the film yet. I think I'd like to see the songs in it for the first time, in the context of the film itself, so I think I'm gonna hold off on watching this video. But I watched the intro before you got into the song. ☺️
Jessica Darrow did a live “jazz” version of this and its amazing! Her voice is so refreshing ! You should check it out

Theres about 2 seconds when she says the pressure will never stop, the screen goes red and their two expressions are tear jerking.
I was waiting for you to do this one. Loved this song. The message, the lyrics. I love the Hercules line.
This movie brought back quality Disney soundtrack.

Encanto here in the philippines means magical, mythical creatures
@@ph19964 the same in spanish, a lot of filipinos words are spanish related or just spanish.
The events that lead to the magic in the movie were also inspired by the 1000 day war in Columbia in the early 1900s.
@@JampClear yes, the Philippines used to be a Spanish colony and then a colony of the US so they use a lot of Spanish and English mixed in Tagalog
NOBODY Expects How Complex this song ends up! And the Singers range

Yes extremely catchy hook 🪝

Your videos are amazing. Thanks Rebecca. Lots of love and hugs from Sweden.
I absolutely love this song! My favorite of Mr. Miranda’s songs (all of Hamilton, even!).
The Caterpillar song close to the end of the movie is great. Sad, but great.
Love this song. It speaks to so many people and having a deep voiced, strong woman is epic.
This video is so funny...you' re so funny lovely Rrrrebecca! 😍

Thank you, Rebecca! So far, you are the only song reacter that actually responded to the whispered 'Pressure' in the background of the song... 👍
Luisa is such a deep character. Dispite her physical strength and her apparent confidence, the expectations her mother throws on her are far heavier than what she can carry. When Mirabel hugs her just after the song, i started getting emotional
ur beginning song was so beautiful and u took the words right out of my mouth 😭 "beautiful" i audibly laughed, that earns a subscribe
When she said "bring it in bring it in" I automatically remembered Isabela's song haha
