Nice play ! On the certificate of my 2019 T61 Red Rooster is "made of Alder and Van Zandt pickups". But when a look on the wood grain (the paint is very thin) it seems to me like sugar pine. By the way, best Tele ever played. Still own it.
thanks! mine is a 2015 , sugar pine, and pick ups are Amber Vintage Twang... very fine Telecaster! I love it... still own it

Were these the “Amber” or “Van Zandt” pickups? My T61 Red Rooster lists Amber pickups. The 2022 model lists Van Zandt.
yes this is a Red Rooster with Amber pickups... and another important thing is that the body is in Sugar pine... not swamp ash.

@@jemandthemystery is a very well seasoned sugar pine, around a hundred years, so is very resonant, light . has very nice warm tone with a good midrange and much sustain. swamp ash is great but also this sugar pine works well in a telly...for me the high are more mellow than in the ash
@@MrBogi81 Thank you. Yes, that is my experience with my 2017 T61 tone wise too. I wasn’t sure whether that was because of the pickups, the wood, the slightly “chubby C” neck or (most likely) a combination of all that.
