I bought my gated V10 in summer of 2020 right before prices went bananas and it went up +$45k from what I bought it for! It was never considered an investment for me-- I plan to keep it forever. It's been my dream car for over a decade. A V10 + a manual is an endangered species. I feel like this car will be even more special in 10+ yrs time. Long live the V10!
Great video my friend and a great example of a v10 gated, that is missed by ppl like me and allot more other fans... kinda like the watches I review, manual, the clicks, the movements, the sounds....etc... Hope you keep this care for a long time and enjoy every second of it... Big like Leo V
Why was the Gallardo’s V10 detuned for the R8 V10, making 517bhp instead of the Gallardo’s 552bhp? Is it because then it would have stolen sales from the more expensive Gallardo as the V10 R8 would have been slightly quicker if the two cars had the same power as each other?
yeah lambo had to justify the price difference somehow, detuned was the easiest. Means the audi really wakes up from a simple tune which isnt normal on NA engines
2500 per year depreciation when bought used, I would say this is a pro esp. when considering inflation that number is probably higher however probably much less than other sports cars. That said the rest of the points are very good to know. cheers

Only one gripe.... depreciation. $95k? more like $80k, if you could find a buyer that wasn't scarred to death by COVID. Not that that is bad depreciation. The car's original sticker was $135k, and they have probably bottomed out.
One (v10 gated 2010 with 19k miles) just sold on "bringatrailer.com" for $120,000.00 - 5k fees. Also saw one on Ebay for $129,000.00, 2011 v10 gated with 10k miles. These cars are only going up, gated v10s only.
There is no structural problem. The potential issue is that the strut towers can crack in high impact front end accidents or if you are doing 120 mph into a large pothole. I own a gen 1 v10 gated R8 (19k miles and no issues) and Audi actually upgraded my strut towers with reinforcements at no cost. If you buy one and are worried about it, Audi of North America in the States will take care of it free of charge at any Audi certified weld facility, like they did mine.

The game is not really about speed anymore. Electric cars won that game. Lol now its just what is the must fun to drive.

Original sticker on my V10 was 160 here in the US
Naw he is right 95k. I have been shopping.

The car would be great if it didn't have factory body structure problems.
FX how common is this issue? I googled it quickly seems extremely rare.
