Yes! I started knitting socks last year and I had watched your box of socks 2021 videos several times to get some yarn ideas. Fast-forward to the end of the year, and I had made 52 pairs of socks in 2022. 😂

Somehow I signed up for FDF Sock Squad. Soooo, this will be my Year of Sox. Oh, then I saw some pretty pretty sock sets (…3…gasp!!…)
But, want to try Toe-up, different heels (high instep, probably no Short Row heel, unless I add extra rows for better fit), Textured (ala Dustland by Stephen West), simple lace (not an all-over lace)…so I’m good !!
Add some crochet totes, Garter dish (or bath) cloths. Really need to continue partial sweaters (2) before too hot summer…

I hope you do! My first year. 3 (or 4?) different bases thru out the year. Rav group as well.
My sock “issues” are the various weights to yardage, I like a dense gauge for wearability. Different wt = different needle size = different st counts, lengths. I’m having fun figuring it out! 463yd/100g is sooo different from 420yd.
Or, I just make things more complicated…over-analyze … ahem 🤪
Loved the sock recap!! I’m relatively new to sock knitting and just n advanced beginner knitter. 4 pair so far. My sister has two of those because I had no clue about negative ease. Right now trying to figure out what heel and toe works best for me. I love them as a portable project. Thanks for info on how the different yarns wear.
If next Dec. is better than this past one I’d love to play the scrappy sock game. 🧦🧶🧦.

That one that I had on the needles is also a blueberry waffle sock by sandy Turner in a regia sock yarn and mini from laine and lotus!
How many pair of socks did I start last year? Eight. I started eight. How many did I finish? One. And I cannot figure out where I put them. I now have 9 pair on the needles. I cannot start another pair because I don't have any needles left to start them on. I knit on a pair for a week before I knit on the next pair. I just keep cycling through them until I get them completed. I have probably 200 patterns in my faves on Ravelry. This year, I'm doing colorwork topped socks. Wish me luck!
Good luck! The key is to buy less needles 😂 I only have one in each size so I kinda have to finish!
