For those saying Stewart started it, here's the full story: before this point , Corden looked and acted very disinterested in everything related to this event. He was on his phone and wasn't paying attention to anything around him. He looked like he wanted to be anywhere else. Stewart called him out on it and Corden insulted him for it, so Stewart did a jab back.

Patrick Steward is a smart man. His intention was to show the real narcissistic face of James Gorden. He knew by causing narcissistic injury it would bring out the ugliness inside him and his true face, and show who he really is and...IT WORKED. Ladies and gents, this is how James Corden talks to his staff every time, this is how treats them, this is how he pushes their buttons everyday and everyone who has met him whether at restaurant or work will tell you this is how he behaves. Patrick did everyone a favour to show us who James really is and it got him so much even on camera he couldn't hold it together. He's a bully and that is all he is.

It instead graciously provides you with health complications that can drastically alter one’s life. I don’t think you full grasp what “body positivity” actually is. It’s a mind killer in a simplistic sense. Giving the masses the mentality that it is understandable… no, congratulated to be obese. Congratulated in being too weak to control one’s own impulses. Jude Knight I wouldn’t go as far as to say that, certainly Stewart did not come away from this looking in any way good but to suggest he’s in any way jealous of Corden? Hardly. Stewart is the legacy figure head of 2 beloved franchises, beloved theatrical actor and Shakespearean wonder. Meanwhile Corden is a moderately successful sitcom actor and talk show host. It’s nonsensical to compare the two and even when you do it’s clear Patrick isn’t intimidated or jealous of Corden. It was just a poor exchange.

It’s scary how quickly James got aggressive the second someone criticised him in any way, very narcissistic behaviour. Though I definitely think Stewart was more in the wrong here, it is scary how intimidating Corden became. Coming way too close to his face as if he was trying to start a pub fight. Quite a transformation.
I think him showing his belly to the audience was the proper way of reacting to this situation. just making a joke out of it. If he had done that without the whole intimidation-routine he would have looked a lot better.

Patrick Stewart was "only" 70 here, and he was very fit. Old man shouldn't apply here.

That was what set the tone, so Picard had every right to restrain his security team from removing the child from the bridge.

I wish he had tried this with someone like Brad Pitt or Michael B Jordan, he would of been on the ground.

Shouldn't we all just be in awe of how Zoe handles this like a pro! So classy in a very cringy situation.

@@amber_long It was clearly "die" in the sense of not getting laughs onstage which is exactly what happened.

Always trying to remain neutral, just like a woman. She should have sided with the right side, which was Stewart in this case. Corden can go choke on a chicken leg.

@@amber_long Pommi's comment refers to Zoe Saldana being classy in the way she handled the situation, and I agree. Drawing attention to a fat person's belly in a setting like that is astonishingly rude--some would say cruel--so it was so kind of her to tell Corden she likes his belly. Similarly, the compliment she paid Stewart was clearly meant to ease a difficult situation. Classy indeed. : - )
