I first seen this movie on a chartered bus in 1999 when I was 15 years old. I bought a copy of this movie on DVD a year ago. Great movie. Rest in peace Mr Walter Mathhau, and Mr Jack Lemmon.

Does this kind of negate the ending of the first one? Like part of the ending of the first film (spoiler for those who haven’t seen an almost 55 year old movie) was that each had rubbed off on each other. Walter Matthau’s character was more empathetic and cleaner. Jack Lemmon’s character was finally able to move on and be spontaneous. It looks like they’ve regressed them back into their old ways.
