Another thing for the shock caps, you need some proper bushings. I use Axial Silicone shock bushings part number AXIC1356. Worked perfect.

Hey Earl, I have the same Outcast and love it. A real underrated upgrade is replacing every plastic ball joint with steel ones off a Sledge. I this it is Traxxas 9683. Cleans up slop in a lot of places. Another piece of advice. I bought the 6s Notorious shocks from JennysRC and was going to replace all 4, but only replaced the front shocks. The reason why is because the 6s shock sat really low on the rear. The 4s shocks seemed beefier on the rear. What I think might be the issue is that the 4s Outcast has more weight centered toward the rear compared to the Notorious. The center diff, rear diff, and motor all are fairly close to the rear and is fairly heavy. Long story short, I couldn't get the Notorious shocks to work well without the preload maxed out or doubling up my springs. At that point I decided it was too bouncy and reverted back to the 4s shocks and just stuck some thicker fluid in them. Also changed the center diff to 20mill and set the punch level to 9 and its a beast at the skatepark.

Im still running Stock shocks with 50wt and stock springs. All I added was a M2C chassis brace (v2) and the truck is an absolute beast. I actually dropped punch to 8 because the front end just will not stay down. Hell I can run 75 percent and still wheelie for days lol. I actually, this weekend, gonna up my pinion 3 teeth to combat that a likl and gain more speed in the process. Well see how it goes. Truck is a well planted rocket. Also I grabbed hot racing metal pivots balls and replaced entire truck. Does add more rigid steering and suspension movement.

To make the 6s shocks work i'll recommend axial silicone shock bushings($4.99) for the shock cap slop with Mojave 6s front springs. Fronts are slightly longer but the rears are about spot on with spring rate and length.

Earl. The 6s Talion front springs fit ,been using those on the 4s Outcast and the Kraton.Had the same issue of collapsing springs ,after only a few packs.

I was hoping you were going to open the gear case up every run on mine the sand in there eats the bearings for the center diff I am curious how yours is doing

I'm about to put 6s kraton shocks on mine. Stock front shocks are 111mm, kraton 6s are 115mm, think I'm going to put 4mm fuel tubing in the fronts under the piston. Rears are only a 1mm difference in length.

There is a spacer you need to stop the slop. But they do work have them on mine. And it’s way better

So dont bother trying to upgrade the shocks to 6s ? They need too hop up all the trucks. The 4s trucks need the 6s equipment and 6s needs the 8s ... etc ... 4s in my truck has destroyed every turn buckle. ( i replaced them with hot racing alumium ball joints and now my turn buckle arms getting worn out ) they need a 4 bolt rear differental cover bc ive already chewed mine up. Fixed it. Chewed it up again and have had to replaced it ( i ordered part for a senton like an idiot but it works ) but one tiny skinny bolt in the rear doesnt cut it for 4 cell power. I want better shocks but i dont want to go through the headache of modifying everyrhing to make it work. The stock shocks are good. Im jsut going to upgrade my steerong servo and steering servo saver. Thats next on the bucket list. But beefier rods would help allot. Would adding 6s swing arms to the truck along with the 6s shocks help handling ?
Edit : i was also wondering about running the 6s shock towers on the 4s if they are the same ? And the 6s swing arms to accommodate the bigger shocks and also keep the geometry proper. I fixed a bunch of spelling mistakes also. I know the rear diff cover i bought is for a senton is a 4s. But fits my truck. I imagine the 6s differentails are bigger ? If you could slap a metal mounting plate on the stock shock tower to bolt the 6s shocks too that might work. Allot of monkeying around to do tho ... id rather have. Abetter steering so im not always running into shit.

Hell I put the new arrma springs on my Kraton, took them off, and reinstalled my stock springs, they are actually better than the new
    ones.
    Part numbers 330239 and 330507!😢😢
