Idk the reason why Gackt and Hyde had no lights on but a similar thing is mentioned when Gackt was in Mizer that he'd keep lights dim due to a vision issue. I have no idea how accurate this is but it'd make sense why he wears glasses all the time

This is great. I've been waiting for this since I stumbled upon your channel. I haven't read all the entries in the iceberg, but some i can remember off the top of my head:
-tenshin26100 (and how he carried the fandom on his back for the best part of a decade)
-Kamen rider Decade
-Moving labels (from crown columbia to avex)
-Fragile health (from the very early days off his solo career to his illness in 2021)

The “mysterious painting” in his house is a framed original of a page from a manga he likes (the name escapes me at the moment) but it’s visible in other photos of his house so it’s no huge secret actually.
Gackt JOB has always had rotating members and includes not just band members but also dancers and other crew, just because Chacha and You aren’t regular members anymore it doesn’t mean that it ended.
Could you clarify what you mean with soft retirement?

What I refer to as a soft retirement began around 2012 when Gackt started to prioritize other aspects of his career over his music, particularly music composition. YFC I (2011) was written only by YOU and Takumi. After that, Gackt mostly released annual singles without any B-sides, not rarely written by other people. He also ventured into various other projects such as UA-cam, theater, and movies. Camui Gakuen became way more frequent. Relocating to Malaysia also didn't help.
Regarding visualives, after YFC, there were only three major events: BotB (2013), LM (2016), and Khaos (2020, interrupted by the pandemic). Note the gaps: during the 2000s, there was not a single year he wasn't touring. The Last Moon album is mainly a collection of singles, and his other music projects have been brief. None of the Last Songs tours was longer than 8 dates.
There are valid reasons for each point, such as his health issues, the idea that "he's worked hard for many years and deserves rest," and "he can explore new artistic skills and pursue different projects." While these reasons make sense, I'm left unsatisfied. I'm as much a Gacktsexual as the next guy, but if music is not currently the main dish, my attention takes a nose dive. If he's going to push himself, I'd rather see him focus on the music side of things. I understand my selfishness, but nowadays he seems to do... whatever. He deserves it. He gave us so much. Too much. He CAN do whatever he wants and all DEARS must accept it. That's good for him but not so great for me.
At least we're getting an proper action figure of him this year so I have that going for me...
