@Critique Everything Prince stole the song Adore you from his childhood best friend Andre and never gave him any credit for it or paid him. When Prince was asked about it he claimed it was a misprint that Andre wasn’t credited as a writer/producer of the song but if that was the case how come he never paid him anything at all or credited him on future albums that had that song. Prince also didn’t pay his employees fairly or at least that’s what most of them are now saying including Appolonia saying her and the other 2 girls weren’t paid for that song sex shooter even though Prince made millions from the soundtrack that song was featured on. There are a lot of his ex musicians employees interviews on UA-cam telling of how they were underpaid by Prince, most recent I saw was some of his old band members including Morris Day, Jimmy Jam and Applonia confirming this sadly. I also heard but can’t confirm that Vanity reached out to to him for money when she was sick and had medical bills and he refused and instead she said that Eddie Murphy gave her money to help with her medical bills. The source for that would be in her book.

Would Andre like to explain how he came up with Do Me Baby, which is a mashup between Eddie Hazel's Frantic Moment and Aretha Franklin's Angel. Prince made everything he did his own -- nothing in Andre's catalogue sounding even similar to Do Me Baby and his only solo top 10 hit is a song that Prince wrote.
This is awesome as usual. I have never heard the interview where Prince said during the Dirty Mind era he was going through fits of depression. I did hear it gets lonely once you reach the top and could lead to depression, but i didn't know he was going through depression so early on in his career he was young then. I'm actually surprised by it.

Mozart + Hendrix + James Brown + Carlos Santana + Little Richard + so much more equates to THE ONE and ONLY Prince Rogers Nelson. 2B remembered 4Ever! ☔🕊️🙏🏾♥️
Prince got booed off the stage in 1981. These are the albums he worked on in 1981 and 1982: Controversy, The Time, 1999, What Time Is It. That's 4 albums in 2 years including a double album. Then he took a break in 1983. After that he released an album every year through 1992. That comes out to 16 albums in 14 years from 1978 to 1992. Taylor Swift has 9 albums in 14 years and she didn't write every song, play every instrument, mix and produce every album. The difference is that in the past, talent came first. People just expected it. And Prince had all of it. Swift is in an era where music sucks, talent generally goes unrewarded and no one has control over their own stuff nor seems to want it, not to mention they don't work that hard. For them, touring is where they make money. For Prince, touring was where he had fun. Prince was a musician. Swift is a marketer.
I’m really impressed by this. Good job! Especially the little time you had to put it together, it’s mind boggling. You’re very talented yourself. I think the problem is that sometimes it’s difficult to understand the narrators, including Prince 🤭. There’s closed caption, but sometimes people don’t want to read 😩. It’s really great though. Thank you for this. 💜
Well where do you think he went? You don't get into that place of comfort just because you wrote music mam. You have to be saved. Frankly I think he pulled a fast one on his world.

Prince did the same thing he did to Brown Mark with "Kiss" what he did with Morris Party Up. I think what it was ,he lacked some inspiration. So on hearing Party Up from Morris, it inspired him. I find it the most funkiest track on Dirty Mind. I used to play it all the time. Now I know why he liked it.
Actually there's 2 different stories about Kiss, one by Brown Mark and one by David Z. So who do we believe? Also, pertaining to Party Up, Prince and Morris had an agreement about that song. Morris said, Prince heard it and reworked it and offered him money for the song or he would help him get a recording contract, Morris chose the contract and band. So nothing was done underhanded with Morris about that song. These are 2 different scenarios.
@@chica4530 true. I'm cognizant of the deal he made with Morris. Brown Mark on the other hand raised the bar on his Kiss Demo.Prince heard it and proceeded to tell him basically he wants the song. Mire like a hit for him and the Revolution. Mark was taken aback. Especially after not crediting him. Oh yeah I think cow bell. Really? But, Prince was right. The song was better suited for him.
@@garfieldharrison510 yes, Prince wrote the song but gave it to them to rework, from my understanding Prince liked what they did and took it back and reworked it again and kept it for him and the Revolution. Really him. Peggy Mac talks about it because she was the engineer at Sunset Sound when it happened. I think David Z got some credit but not Brown Mark. David Z feels he did much more than Brown Mark on retooling “Kiss”. Neither were happy with Prince about that. LOL. Interesting that I never heard anything from Bobby Z regarding this since David was his brother. Interesting non the less.
I didn't know that some of them were apprehensive to do those shows with him. Dez, was a bit conservative , Gayle Chapman. She kissed on stage then complained about performing "HEAD". I was like really. He was just being presumptuous There was nothing over explicit. I thought it was fun to hear his take on the subject manner.
Leave her alone she didn't have to let him rule over her continous. She felt it was wrong. Her parents probably schooled her, Right and wrong coming out you mouth and mind Princr had on Pas. Park walls. What you think is Facts, he knew that much.
@@joyceboyd1838 I found it only cynical that she made out with him on stage then made an about face to singing a salacious song like "Head". Really? Don't matter in the end, her role in his life was tangible.
I feel really bad for André Cymone. 🥺 I love Prince, but I think he was cutthroat when it came to achieving his dreams early-on. Andre’s mom was like P’s second mom. They LIVED together. And still, André got left by the wayside. Imagine being Dre and hearing your songs at the top of the charts... but someone else is getting all the money/credit. Devastating. 😭 Even when he tried to go solo, it didn’t last long. P had already made his mark.
@@artfull334 Agreed. Andre is my favorite too, just because he’s so down to earth, and he doesn’t hold any grudges toward Prince to this very day. Morris, on the other hand, is still doing interviews bringing up how he “should’ve been paid more” for Purple Rain. Distasteful, but I digress. I LOVED the bits and pieces of that memoir Prince started (The Beautiful Ones). I’m so sad he passed before he could finish, because it was really good. I’m sure he would’ve touched on the Andre situation, and maybe even Vanity. Who knows!
@@artfull334 I agree with your last sentence. It is human nature to be a little jealous that your friend is on the rise and you are in his band, especially when you are young like they were. Andre is the only one I wished Prince was still close to, some of the others not so much. From my understanding Prince was still always close to Miss Bernadette (Andre's Mother). Heard Andre say in an interview P also went to visit her in the hospital before she passed.
@@artfull334 Hmm interesting theory! 🤔 I also think P might’ve gravitated toward extroverted people because he was pretty reserved himself. Maybe he was attracted to people that could balance him out; crack jokes, bring him out of his shell. People say that P was pretty cold if he didn’t know/trust you. Literally, he wouldn’t even speak. But once he liked you - he wouldn’t shut up LOL. Also when it came to women, his mom was definitely a fireball, and yeah so was Vanity. 🤷🏿♀️ I didn’t know he sent money to those three! Wow, he must’ve been feeling pretty bad. What a kind spirit he was. Miss him!
@@queenkaili3243 I really wished he would have finished his memoirs as well but I doubt if he would have said anything remotely negative about people he truly loved. While he was living he never said anything negative about people who were in his life at one time, maybe in a song without names. He allowed people to attack his character and he wouldn't respond. What's that saying "Weak people get even, Strong people forgive, Intelligent people ignore". He definitely ignored. LOL
He should take this UA-cam to court well not only do I have this tape of me playing this song years ago..but exhibit B. He says right here it was a typo so I’d like my money for the last 40 years 😂

So let me get this straight, Prince steals Do Me Baby from Andre, and doesn't give him credit or anything, but offers Morris twenty thousand dollars for Party Up? Doesn't make sense, someone is lying.
The Rolling Stones Show Prince did, reveal the true America. Those are the people that 45 tuned into who didn't like change. They showed their homophobic feelings, it was like where is the Stones? Who are these Gay ,Ostentatious people on the stage. They looked at Prince and it freaked them out. If you are drunk and a White Yankee, you forgot the music the Stones are doing is actually Black Music modified. I mean those people who did that to Prince, I hope they all eating crow now. Just saying. That was some rude ISH they did to him and the Band. Rude Obnoxious Ish. America the Great showed its Ugly head. They didn't break him. He got busy.
@@joyceboyd1838 Prince was arrogant with good cause. In the end he treated people as fairly as the business allowed him too. Everyone of them have a name because of him. You heard what he said; create your own universe. That universe is what is making his legacy thrive right now.
Prince not wanting a black man walking into a record Comp with him. Sounds bad. Those hippies bood him off stage. Some probably became fans of his later on but.........too bad he didn't Recognize he was bringing in a black man, which was himself!

Geez never knew Prince stole Do me baby song from Andre and never gave him any credit or money and Andre is so humble about it even still. You would think since Prince was homeless and Andre and Mom gave him a place to live, eat and record he would return the favor but no smh what does that say about Prince character.... Also when it came to paying his groups and artist he cheated and underpaid them all by a lot. He made millions from Purple Rain movie and soundtrack yet he didn't pay the artist fairly. I love his music and was always a huge fan but hearing this is I'm starting to give Prince the side eye.

I suppose it’s lonely at the top
Excellent, as usual!
This is the most comprehensive story I've seen of the Prince journey so far. Really great post!
This is amazing for us real Prince fans! There is talk for Prince documentary on Netflix!! I hope so!! Love and miss you sweet n badass Prince!! 💜💜💜❤️❤️❤️❤️💋💋🌹🌹❤️❤️💜💜💜💜
Can’t wait
'OUR' ✊🏿MOZART 💥‼
Great job as usual!
I learn a lot from Roger Nelson krone as prince the kid I dance on stage at paisley Park stage had fun around him
He would have been 63 yesterday.
Mozart + Hendrix + James Brown + Carlos Santana + Little Richard + so much more equates to THE ONE and ONLY Prince Rogers Nelson. 2B remembered 4Ever! ☔🕊️🙏🏾♥️
Prince is on a level
@@view-caster1776 I will always say he was the GREATEST multi instrumentalist! 🥁 🎹 🎸
@Tony Dude..I said what I said. Moving on.
Dude was and remains a marvel
I’m really impressed by this. Good job! Especially the little time you had to put it together, it’s mind boggling. You’re very talented yourself. I think the problem is that sometimes it’s difficult to understand the narrators, including Prince 🤭. There’s closed caption, but sometimes people don’t want to read 😩. It’s really great though. Thank you for this. 💜
I know (and apologize) for some of the bad/old audio. Some good buds might mitigate the lows. Thank you!
@@Sinnik22 you did a good job! Nothing for you to apologize for 💜. Yes 🎧
We love you P... Thank you for the gift of you... Rest in Paradise our Purple Brother.. See you on the other side... 💜☔

Well where do you think he went? You don't get into that place of comfort just because you wrote music mam. You have to be saved.
Frankly I think he pulled a fast one on his world.
6:44 What interview is this where Prince is speaking about his demo tapes? He sounds young. Never heard this one!
Interview he did with NMR in 1980
@@Sinnik22 Struggling to find it! Is there a link or has it been scrubbed from the internet?
I can't believe he said "my first manager who's name escapes me"
Wow! That's some cold shit!😲
@@tashamack410 I couldn’t find it either
@@judefeehan4853 that's how prince got revenge through words. Have you ever told someone off before? It feels good to get that itch off your shoulder. His 1st manager had cheated him some, in his eyes. But off the cuff, that was cleaver.
He hated when HIS opening group THE TIME, that HE made, opened, and wore the crowd out before HIS set. That was funny.
He was so misunderstood.
@29:17 An ‘Ed Sullivan… “Light that fire!” Doors movie incident’!!!
He said the song title incorrectly “Why do you want to make me feel so bad.” Lol.
He probably even said……. “Yeah, ‘EXOTIC CITY’ , ‘LOVE THE JUNGLE’ , ‘RASPBERRY SHERBET’ , ‘SEXIST DANCER’ , ‘DIRTY MINE’ , ‘GETTING OFF’ , ‘LETS GO YOU CRAZY’ ! , All those Prince songs!” Lol.
Joking.
Besides, he was there and I wasn’t! Soooo…🤔💭
@29:17 An “Ed Sullivan…. Light that fire!” Doors’ incident !! 😂😂.
“Why do you want to make me feel soo bad!” , wrong name of the title. Then again, he made it there and I haven’t , soooooo🤔💭?… lol
PRINCE: GOD OF MUSIC!
Where can I get that first picture with everybody??…Wicked.
Doesn’t exist.
Made it in post

Sinnik22 editing is some of the best going .
What's the interview at 16:37? Never heard it before
Same! I really want to hear the full interview!!
Her parents probably schooled her,
Right and wrong coming out you mouth and mind
Princr had on Pas. Park walls. What you think is
Facts, he knew that much.
@@joyceboyd1838 I found it only cynical that she made out with him on stage then made an about face to singing a salacious song like "Head". Really? Don't matter in the end, her role in his life was tangible.
How much anyone wanna bet that @Sinnik22 has got a SMOKIN'' Stevie Wonder set, just layin' in the cut? BIG UP!!!!
Little green Datsun!! Lol. Little Red Corvette definitely has a better ring to it.
Lol
I feel really bad for André Cymone. 🥺 I love Prince, but I think he was cutthroat when it came to achieving his dreams early-on. Andre’s mom was like P’s second mom. They LIVED together. And still, André got left by the wayside.
Imagine being Dre and hearing your songs at the top of the charts... but someone else is getting all the money/credit. Devastating. 😭 Even when he tried to go solo, it didn’t last long. P had already made his mark.
Andre ended up with Jody....he did ok...Lol
I didn’t know he sent money to those three!
LOL
Prince was a one man band.
Yesterday it's Prince Rogers Nelson's Birthday!!!!! 🎹🎸🥁🎤🎶🎂🎉

Shady my first manager who's name escapes me lol
Prince could have won that whole crowd over by catching the unopened 5th and taking a couple shots from it.
You needed to be his manager. Solved!😂
Facts
They were arrogant and so

@@joyceboyd1838 Prince was arrogant with good cause. In the end he treated people as fairly as the business allowed him too. Everyone of them have a name because of him. You heard what he said; create your own universe. That universe is what is making his legacy thrive right now.
Prince not wanting a black man walking into a record
Comp with him. Sounds bad. Those hippies bood him off stage. Some probably became fans of his later on

Why isn't there a real Biographical movie about
Prince?. There are tons of
Movies about other Musician's written about their

A Star!. Where is the movie Titled Paisley Dreams? Which tells the story about
Prince when he was born?
Him playing Basketball at
Central high! Using the Band room! Writing lyrics!
And his time with Owen
Husney in the studio?.
What's the problem?.
Is it Money?
Legal issues?
Casting?
What is the Problem?.
I feel the same! But I also realize how hard it will be to do it, I don’t know if they could find someone to do it right!
There are 8 billion Humans on this earth!. There is a man somewhere that looks
Exactly like Prince! Be it the
Amazon rain forest!! Remote island of Minnetonka! Or the remote
Mountains in the Himalayans!. If a man can travel to the moon! He can make A true Prince movie!.

Found that out later.

Anything he made but
"ADORE" THATS ALL.I HAD TO SERVE THE LORD BY GETTING TO KNOW HIM
BETTER THRU READING THE WORD,( BIBLE).
Prince epitomized charisma...finding an actor to play him ain’t no easy win.
Gorgeous Lady I met one of the at one at all Halloween party last year as a matter of fact!,
Geez never knew Prince stole Do me baby song from Andre and never gave him any credit or money and Andre is so humble about it even still.
