That opening jam was sick! I'm really on the fence with this one. It's the first CBA pedal in years that hasn't been an instant-purchase for me. I might be biased because I just got a Gamechanger Audio Plus Pedal a month ago.
Same. I knew nothing about the original plugin, but downloaded the demo tonight and it's actually pretty interesting. Has me debating whether the plugin (on sale for $52USD right now) will be good enough or succumbing to the pretty pink pedal. I have to say, this is the best demo of Lossy yet.
@@pjforde1978 Actually, I was in NF's bad books at the time and was not included in the y2K party. I was shortly let go afterwards. Good times! At least that's what I recall. Good to hear from you. Most of the Lossy videos are guitar based, but after playing around with the plugin for a few hours last night, the effect is way more suitable on synths, drum machines and whole mixes. It doesn't do it for me on guitar at all.
@@bnz70 I love it when the internet feels smaller again, for moments. And yes, that does sound/feel familiar. I certainly did not make it much longer. Every cliche applied to that place, including the jerk boss. It was like a whole management hierarchy of jerk bosses. At any rate, it's safe to say that I'm no longer the youngest person in every office. Strong agree on dropping this after Gen Loss and before reverb at the end of a mixing chain. Still, even after at least skimming a dozen videos last night, I have a hard time perceiving any of the sounds as desirable - and I don't think it's because I lived through it. I appreciate CBA for introducing new concepts, but there are more fun ways to cut out a sound and most of the glitch stuff is done better by Microcosm. If anything, I'm most compelled by the stereo freeze. Plus Pedal is amazing but I do wish it had a stereo field.

This is a great demo. Lot's of cool sounds in here! People get too hung up on how they think it sounds, but they should listen to this demo instead!
