Does anyone out there grind OD of stainless rings, sizes range from 20" down to 4", with the width varying from 1" to 4"? What kind of tool do you use? We are making our own fixtures, but the wide variety of sizes, this is becoming very expensive. Is there an adjustable fixture made that can accommodate our needs? We currently use a lathe with an attached grinding wheel. Thanks!
Jay Terryah Hey, I grind chamfers on rings (not quite the same i know) but in terms of tooling could you grip the larger ones internally on a 4 jaw chuck? Ovality can be a bitch if set like this though so it can only be "nipped up". Hope this helps!

Only the controller made by Fanuck is Japanese. The rest of the machine is made in Taiwan. Even so, I suspect that the controller like all computers these days has been outsourced.
