Peig Sayers Voice of an Island

Biography on Irish Author and Storyteller Peig Sayers. Sayers was a native Irish speaker from the Great Blasket Island on Ireland's West Coast. Her first language was Irish Gaelic or "Gaeilge" of which her books and essays are written. Many of her writings went on to be translated into English and other languages.
