Sir i do believe that is canoe and not a kayak. Nice set up either way. One tip is to turn the boat upside-down. It wont collect rain or road grime inside and will work as a "partial" roof. Not only that but it will ride more secure and the aerodynamics will work better. 👍🏾🤠🇺🇲
It’s an Ascend H12, it’s a “hybrid” canoe/kayak but operates much more like a sit in kayak. Yes, if the blind is not on the kayak then I will travel with it upside down, unfortunately during hunting season with the blind on I cannot turn it over, but it worked fine strapped down with the blind on! Thanks for watching!

Great setup. Dont forget a tarp for those days that roads r wet or snow covered to keep decoys and gear dry n somewhat clean.
Good point! The truck has a bed cap so anything that needs to stay dry goes in there, but still worth thinking of
Great video really looks awesome
Thanks man! It’s been sweet
I wonder if 2 pool noodles would help from it sliding on the rack, perhaps protect the bottom the yak as well.
When it’s strapped down it doesn’t move at all! But you definitely could put them on there
Where did you get the rack?
There’s a link in the description! It was from Amazon, this was the cheapest one I found that would fit
