Wow, what amazing fabric! The one with the ladies in the lake coordinating with green fabric is my favourite! I'm new to your channel - this is why I love the sewfrugal challenges, we get to see lots of new vloggers. Looking forward to seeing your reveal, and the other outfits that you may make later in the year.
Thanks, so interesting. Never sewn anything like this but my 7year old granddaughter loves gym and swimming so it has given me food for thought and an insight into the fabrics etc. Some of the RTW kit looks so adult . Loved the lady bathers.
I'm loving how vloggers are specialising in a particular areas this year which means we're seeing a huge variety garments. I'm an outdoor swimmer too, I hadn't thought of using the Billie Blanket pattern for a change robe and using hammam towels is a great idea. I love the green fabric with the ladies in the lake fabric for the robe but they are all beautiful
@debsmadethis • Excellent video! I not only appreciate your choice of swimwear, but I also love how logical and organized your video is. Breaking patterns down into categories of "intended swimwear," "can be used as swimwear," etc., is great for getting us to think about what we really want in swimwear. I also loved that you put your fabrics up and edited the switch over rather than forcing us to look at a folded stack of fabrics with no idea of the drape, finish, etc. The one thing missing is a racer back suit or top. 😉 I can live with that.
Thanks! This is just some of it !! Yes, the Liberty needs to become something. I have 4m of another print that's been supposed to be a Collette Penny dress forever !!
I love all of your options! I’m going to take a look at that Natalie top only to use it as a sports bra. Also, I love both the jade colored fabric and the lady mckelroy fabric.
Such an inspiring video Deb. I haven’t yet made any swimwear and a large cup size makes buying very difficult and expensive, so swimwear making is on my radar this summer. I’ve just made my first bra successfully and you’ve inspired me to have a go. Thanks! 🚴🏻♀️🐝
Ooo super!I know Cashmerette have a swimwear pattern . I did make the seamwork Reno and Dakota for one one my larger cup sized offspring and that was a hit so she's keen for a new one ! I think there's probably a way to adapt or incorporate a bra pattern too so you get good support ?
I’ll have a look at the Cashmerette patterns, the bra I’ve just finished is the Willowdale and I’m a member of Cashmerette club. So useful to not have to do fba’s. Thanks for the info, so helpful. X
Great video. I think the leggings option would be good for modest swimwear too. They aren't free but I've used "5 out of 4" patterns to sew swimwear very successfully.
Thanks so much Debbie for bringing us something a bit different, you found some fab patterns & gave some great ideas for alternatives both fabric & patterns - using the Billie Hoodie & Hamman towels is a brilliant idea 👍You know I've always loved that Nani Iro fabric & it definitely needs to be sewn & used regularly, as you say,no [point in it hiding in your stash but also the lady bathers was made to be made into something for your swimming antics!
Great inspiration Deb. I sometimes need a little nudge to look at patterns differently and you’ve inspired me. You have some lovely fabrics and can’t wait to see what you do.
Awesome addition to the Sew Frugal Vlogging tour. Really interesting options for swimwear. I have some remnants that could work for one of these.
Oh that's so good to hear Nancy, thanks !Let me know how you get on !

Oh thank you, that's so kind Yvonne ....I have some ideas for a racer back but uses a paid for pattern so will have to be another video 😁
You have a lovely swimwear stash Deb. So happy you are planning to use some of that gorgeous Liberty Tana Lawn :)
Thanks! This is just some of it !! Yes, the Liberty needs to become something. I have 4m of another print that's been supposed to be a Collette Penny dress forever !!

Aw thank you Melissa. The seam ripper was very active yesterday so the almost swimsuit is back to a pile of smaller pieces of lycra today 😁😂
@@debsmadethis 😬 ooft that sounds frustrating. Good luck with putting it back together again
Done 😁
