What a delight. Smart haircuts, chaps! Your 10,000 followers have excellent taste, and I'm chuffed to bits that you've been wearing two of mine. So many samples you must smell. (Did that sound a bit like Yoda?)
You guys are delightful, it’s a crime that you don’t have at least a million subs. I don’t always agree with you but i do respect your reviews and you have introduced to me some fragrances that I’ve never heard of that I’ve purchased and loved. Thank you
Thanks Elisabeth. I respect your taste and opinions; it’s important that we can all have different opinions. We never claim to be reviewers or experts, we just share our thoughts, and welcome others to share theirs. Thanks for your support.
I started watching Wafts from The Loft about a month ago. You guys have completely changed my outlook on fragrances. Pegwell Bay and Cape Heartache are my new favourites and yesterday I managed to buy a 100ml bottle of Mouchoir de Monsieur on eBay for £86!
Good to see you gentlemen again, and very pleased to see Cabochard among your most worn fragrances. I have that version, and it is among my very favorite inexpensive revelations, the most smooth, sophisticated, and thoroughly delightful green chypre. I"ve been in Amberland lately, but I think I'll wear Cabochard tomorrow.
It’s because of your videos that I started to get into fragrances. I first saw your video on BORTNIKOFF. And your praise for sir Winston. And sir Winston was my fragrance in my collection. Thankyou Thankyou.
My father owned a silver cloud and I will always remember the smell of it’s lovely sweet leather. That sweet leather scent is also present in my vintage cabochard bath oil, the rose, iris, galbanum and leather are so beautifully balanced in this formulation. I wear it when I prepare myself to tackle my garden during these cold winter months. Perfect.
I'd love to try Sarah's - Take me to the River. Unfortunately, I can't find it anywhere here in the US for purchase. I recently bought Wash Me in the Water and absolutely love it. I also have Black Velvet Cafe, and that is a serious fragrance! Not for the faint of heart! But a stunning oud scent.
Fab to see you back! I’ve been wearing Le lion a lot- kind of feel it’s a bit of an HG…. Also woody by olfactory studios, peau ailleurs by Starck, Kilauea by Olympic Orchids and baikal leather by Nicolaï. Looking forward to more vids! X
Ah I adore Le Lion. I always buy all my Chanel fragrances direct from Chanel. While I’m not a huge fan of Chanel’s regular line of fragrances, I adore the Les Exclusives, with Coromadel, Le Lion and Gardenia being my favorites. But I haven’t sampled all of them, so I may fall in love with more . I need a huge bottle of Le Lion

I have tried some of Fort and Manle. I love the one you tried but also Charlatan, it's a funky jasmine with rose and chocolate 🌹the only thing is I don't think they really last on skin
They don't last long, you're right. I was thinking about buying a custom heavily concentrated bottle of Fatih Sultan Mehmed (you can buy custom concentration bottles from Rasei Fort if you email) but I bought a custom concentration bottle of Suleyman le Magnifique from someone on Basenotes (I don't know the concentration) and it doesn't seem to last much longer than the regular version, so I'm not sure. Fatih Sultan Mehmed is one of the best things I've ever smelled though so I'll probably end up doing it.

And what a treat it was to have you back! I’m wearing something from a sample I was given in Harvey Nicks. Valour by Robert Graham. Heard of it? That would be a no I guess. ‘The art of audacity for the bold and dynamic’ and ‘Knowledge. Wisdom. Truth’ it helpfully says on the card. The bottle pictured is beyond hideous. Ambroxan (obvs.) softened with Clary Sage and a coffee note. Worth a punt if it rocks up in TKMaxx though I’m saving my money for Salome…
