Almost at 1000 that's awesome and I love seeing this all come together from the DB Room to the Tape is poetry to me I have my nephew watching every video so he can learn this stuff
hello, thanks for an old french guy who try to understand the "american football" it s little more clear for me ... discover football nor for a long time and you help me.... continue please very usefull for people like me thanks you very much again
Hey John, I totally agree Sir. Unless something unexpected happens, I totally believe he won't put this much work into this only to give it up! I am sure many High School Football Coaches and Players will lock on to the DB Room!
First I have seen of this channel, and I am hooked. Big Detroit fan, and very much respect for Glover. Gonna watch some of the interviews, but I could sit in the film room with this man for hours.
WOW! Totally awesome videos GQ. I always thought of you as a Lunch Bucket Player. The other team better had kept their heads on a swivel. I've already turned my friend back in Wisconsin onto your channel. He's a High School Football coach. He and I are waiting to talk life and football with you on LS. Sweet upload!
@17:05 You said keep you're head up so you don't hurt yourself... What about low tackling. I see most DB's go for the knees against a bigger running back or a TE. How do you make the low tackle safely?
Hey Glover, I know out of the three position groups on defense, defensive line has the least amount of impact on a DB's responsibilities, but I couldn't help but notice you breezed over the D-line a tad in your previous video. While I do recognize that the differences between Nose Tackles, Under Tackles, 3-techs, 5-techs, etc. have little impact on a DB's assignments or responsibilities, it may be a good idea, in the interest of full disclosure, to do a video breaking down the d-line for anyone out there who doesn't know. You and I both know that a good d-line makes a DB's job a lot easier and vice versa, so it's not like they have no impact at all. Food for thought.
Yes the d line is where everything starts, but I don’t have years of experience playing d line so I’m not qualified to teach d line! Yes I k own there responsibilities, and that’s what I mentioned, but I’m not hear to talk about rush stunts and d line play! I played DB so I talk coverage! Linebackers play a part of coverage so I talk about linebackers as well but I don’t talk about linebackers like a linebacker would talk about line backers! I just know the responsibility of them in a coverage! I’m sorry but if a d lineman wants to learn how to play d line, he should prolly find a d lineman to teach him!
It’s kind of how we did here, corners don’t travel! Safeties stay high and walk into your final alignment! But from film study you will know going into the game that the team loves to do motion on every play so you plan for the motions and expect them to motion!
honest question here. why didn't the guard #62 not pull to meet the backer in the hole and then have #65 pull to block you at the point of attack, if you watch the play play out the weak side de can go unblocked as well and have the left tackle crash down on #40 it doesn't make sense that the right guard didn't pull to meet #59. this is the first play , it seems if you pull the right guard to crash inside on the backer the pulling left guard can meet you at the point of attack. honestly they showed a horrible blocking scheme
Glover, so when the halfback is in that formation he always tryna go to the flats to get thrown too right? So what u did was kinda cheat a little bit that way so u could make that tackle?
Most of the time is the running back is in a “CHOW” alignment he is releasing quickly to that side! Could be the flat route, could be a wheel route, or could be an angle route, but he is coming out 9 out of 10 times!
BelieveTheHype we lost that Dallas game some years back at the last minute when Zeke ran a wheel route out of that and blew past Jarrod Davis. Davis actually played him pretty well but Zeke was just too fast and made a tremendous play and catch. IMO that was the coaches fault for making Davis match up with Zeke on a one on one.
Wel the thing is if he gonna block he gonna have to be in a position to block so he will be closer to the quarterback! Hard to block someone when you are that far out!
@@thedbroom Ya your right, and I dont doubt at all what your saying but I'm just asking what if he tucked in right away when the ball is snapped would he be able to then?
Transitioned from Rugby to Football recently here in Ireland, these videos are HUGE to me. Thank you.

How do you get NFL tape. Like what would I have to do as a civilian if I want to get old tape on some of my favorite players?
Gq big fan bro please tell me you working with the young dbones onepride 🦁🦁
Is cover 1 an automatic robber for that Mike Backer if he not blitzing?
GQ, with all the motions/shifts offenses use to reveal what defenses are doing; how can defenses disguise coverages?

K thx so if he doesn't come out than what is his role? Blocking? Will he run the ball?
BelieveTheHype we lost that Dallas game some years back at the last minute when Zeke ran a wheel route out of that and blew past Jarrod Davis.
